Insightful book

Pastor Swindoll helpfully gives encouragement and direction to those who give speeches. It really speaks to those in ministry but useful for teachers and anyone else who stands before others. I loved hearing about his life as well because Charles Swindoll knows how to “say it well.”

Right ON!

Chuck Swindoll has been a favorite of mine for years! He's capable of sharing the training he received @ Dallas Theological Seminary where they're really serious about their work and at the same time, keeping his native sense of humor. I really appreciate that!

Best advice for preachers and teachers!

This audiobook is excellent for preachers and teachers, especially those handling Biblical passages! Chuck Swindoll is vulnerable, transparent, and entertaining with his personal stories and illustrations. He makes practical recommendations about each step in preparing and delivering a good sermon or lesson. The narrator is excellent and the book is one I will want to refer to again and again!

Consider Chuck Swindoll, he's got bricks !

If you could sum up Saying It Well in three words, what would they be?

The man, the calling, The Answer.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Saying It Well?

How Chuck's story in many ways is the story of Nehemiah second edition with electronics.
The most unlikely man at a surprising time, with hidden talents. Each calling to the next assignment God had for Chuck Swindoll was met with decernment and some reluctance while serving to show how our perspective of decisions developed through preparation and the right person in the path, to the lesson that needed to be learned. Chuck prays and prepares, is called an moves to use the bricks God gave him to rebuild the Walls of many lives, congregations, communities and the airwaves internationally by radio. Insight for Living. All of these things with the common thread of the gift of communicating clearly and acurately human condition and a Heavenly Father that wants us to find and enjoy our authentic self. If anything Chuck Swindoll is authentic - the real thing.

Which character – as performed by Tim Habeger – was your favorite?

Chuck

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

Early life, of preparation - a guy with a stutter becomes an eloquent evangelist, with the right balance of story teller and Bible scholar. God puts people in our path for our education as He also does with challenges to see if our mind set sees them as opportunities.

Any additional comments?

The reader begins to draw close to such an honest explanation that no one person has all the answers, there are usually more questions than answers, but that's okay. Enjoyable personal account of a hero of mine, a major influence on my life and family, as he taught me to credit those who pass a brick to you so that you too can influence and lead other in building up one another as one body perfectly formed in God's own image.

Excellent resource for Ministers !!!!

Hands down Charles Swindoll is a Master Orator!
Excellent stories of his calling and his journey to becoming a man of God who teaches the Gospel
with conviction. Chuck Swindoll masterfully weaves
his story into lessons in the pulpit for preachers! Also the Narrator does a good job in that he sounds like Chuck Swindoll, thought I was listening to Chuck’s voice at times.
