How to craft your elevator speech, floor by floor, with - NO SWEAT!

We've all been there: We're attending a networking event, social function, or seminar. The leader goes to the front of the group and announces, "Before we get started, let's go around the room and introduce ourselves. Stand up. Tell us who you are and what you do. Give us your 'Elevator Speech'." For many, the first reaction is, "YIKES!"

An interesting dissection of the elevator speech

A concise, but complete analysis that had me immediately pondering and redeveloping my elevator speech from the ground (floor) up. In case it helps other readers, I realized if been thinking of elevator speeches and elevator pitches as one and the same. In reality elevator speeches are mostly geared for effectively answering the frequent, "So, what do you do?" inquiry. Very practical and practicable advice.
