Publisher's Summary

Money can't make you happy, but not having it can be very challenging. Financial planner and best selling author Suze Orman reveals why so many of us have persistent financial problems. She explains that many people think that the amount of money we have ultimately determines our emotional state, but, in fact, it's our emotional state that determines how much money we have! In this information-packed dialogue with New Dimensions Radio host Michael Toms, Orman will show you how to start thriving instead of just surviving by removing the obstacles standing in your way of financial freedom. As you listen to this audio program, you'll discover: the three internal obstacles that keep you from bringing more money into your life, how to combine your self-worth with your net worth, what you may be doing to sabotage your own success, how to turn financial crisis into a financial breakthrough, and the relationship between clutter and credit card debt.

Disappointing

It seems that I have seen her name everywhere, so I was pleased to find Suze Orman's work on this site. I am very glad that I purchased this reasonably-priced sample before investing in a full-priced audiobook. The spirituality infused throughout was hard to relate to (yoga and karma are not things that one usually finds mentioned in financial self-help books), and the discussion lacked concrete advice. Her favorite piece of advice seemed to be that if you let go of money with open hands (non-profit donations), you have enabled it to find its way back to you (your hands are still open). According to her, you'll even get more than you gave! It was also somewhat difficult to take seriously one who has grammar issues. To be fair, thought, this is a radio show, so it's possible that her books wouldn't reflect this latter problem.
