Who Knew Ketogenic Recipes Could Be So Delicious

I do not think I will be missing anything on this diet primarily because of the recipes in this book. They all look so delicious. This book explains how the Ketogenic diet works and give examples of meal plans that work with the diet. The book has recipes for appetizers, soups and stews and salads. Main dish recipes include those made with beef, poultry, pork, lamb and seafood. There are also ways to make sauces and condiments, vegetables and more in this book. I love that the author gave many "faux" recipes for those of us that might find it hard to lay off the carbs. There is fake mashed potatoes, faux potato salad, macaroni and cheese with cauliflower instead of pasta. I've tried about 20 of the recipes so far and all of them are delicious. The zucchini fries are a favorite of my family along with the tater tots that are not made out of potatoes at all. The only thing you won't get from this book is weight gain because all of the recipes work with the ketogenic diet to make you lose weight and eat healthier.

Burn Fats And Acquire Energy With Ketogenic Diet!

Ketogenic diet is a low carb,high protein diet that can generate great changes in how your body acquires energy and burns fat. Everyone wants to have a fit body and maintaining one is quite difficult. Buying this book is one of the best decisions I made. I have really learnt a lot and I have already shared some of the knowledge learnt here to some of my friends. The purpose of ketogenic diet is to trigger ketosis which is a physical state in which the body relies on ketones for energy. Ketogenic diet has some advantages including more energy,mental performance,Blood pressure and Cholesterol,Acne,Fewer hunger pangs etc.Grain and sugar are things you are to avoid completely to achieve benefits of ketogenic diet. You will also find some helpful Keto-friendly ingredients that I have used and have worked out for the past one month. I highly recommend this book to everyone who wants to have Ketogenic diet. It covers everything you need to know. Thank you Susan!

The Ketogenic ...Huh Diet

I'm going to bring this book the benefit of the doubt by saying this is just the result of having too much of a library of research and re spewing some of these industry funded studies. I do know and have put time into actually going to pubmed.gov and researching medical documents on nutrition. The book states "It's perfectly normal to have 1 to 2 bowel movements a week". Wait... WHAT??! Do you have any idea that build of intestinal waste is caused by the lack of having regular bowel movements causing colorectal cancer? I'm all for High fat plant based diets with vegetables in them.They like high Carb whole food plant based diets provide anti inflammatory properties and can regulate hormones detoxify and clear your skin. But, provide that benefit of treating epilepsy without running the risk of the following: Let me remind you that all animal products cause inflammation, and are high in saturated fats, and cholesterol leading to heart disease our number one killer. They also cause cancer because of cooking and preparation, and the fact that all animal foods are high in estrogen. Differentiating the difference between plain sugar and things like whole grains is also key because everyone continues to label them the same which is entirely false. Things like oatmeal heal the heart regulate cholesterol and are dense in magnesium, iron, and zinc. For the purpose of the keto diet I will say you'd want to lower your grains because they are higher in whole grain carbs, but are not harmful to your everyday person. So again being someone who is epileptic, I recommend a high fat plant based diet and make sure you're having bowels take place by eating more vegetables. This is so you can avoid all that the above with the animal foods. Another Note. High Fat Whole plant foods are low in saturated fat, no cholesterol, and have fiber, and nutrients which actually cleans the heart instead of clogging them. and people who eat these have a tendency to maintain youthfulness, and hormonal balance. There omega 3 to 6 ratio isn't imbalanced so you'll be getting an appropriate amount if you do research. Stay safe people. This book sounded a little like mayo clinic for a second. I don't even think mayo clinic would having you on the toilet only 1 to 2 times a week.

Ketogenic diet guide to look and feel better

As I recently heard lots of people talking about the ketogenic diet and its advantages, I was curious to try this diet to lose weight and look better. This audiobook is excellent as it gives you plenty of information you need to start a ketogenic diet even if you are a complete novice as me. It has a vast number of great and tasty recipes to try and plenty of useful information to help you motivate you to stick to your diet, and or gradually implement healthy changes and meals in your diet.

Very balanced and informative

I have a bunch of friends that are trying out the Ketogenic diet and I have seen that it can be very successful when followed correctly and so I really wanted to learn how it works, what I need to do and how sustainable it really is. I really appreciated how informative this book is, I now understand that this diet is not a quick fix but a long term way of life that actually changes the way your body produces energy and helps you to burn fat, boost your metabolism and stabilise blood sugar levels which helps you to feel less hungry and more energised. This book really helped me to see what I can realistically expect from the Ketogenic diet, walks you through step by step and has a bunch of fascinating recipes to try.

Ketogenic Diet - meat is healthy!

‘Ketogenic diet’ by Susan Hollister is a very fresh and new way of dieting. It is great diet for meat lover’s. Susan provides delicious recipes what are healthy and tasty. Especially worth is to practice to prepare lean meat like beef or pork steak, chicken tights, poultry, fish and salad.
Good idea is to cook on crock pot, as meat are tender and juicy with beautiful aroma. Very healthy option are soups. I especially love broccoli or cauliflower cream. I was very surprised when you don’t have to avoid sour cream or double cream to yours soup. Also eggs are very recommended. So enjoy your bacon, green beans, macaroni and cheese. Lovely is Turkish lamb with low-carb pita, that you can make yourself at home, the same like a bread. I have never tried a pumpkin soup an can’t wait to make it. What made the experience of listening to Ketogenic Diet the most enjoyable?

It was explained fully and provided a wealth of information in a way that was easy to understand.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Ketogenic Diet?

Finding a diet plan that was complete different to anything else that is currently available to people wanting to begin the New Year with a new, easy and healthy diet.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Personally I enjoyed the information and descriptions of all of the new recipes and although I have never tried some of the recipes, I cannot wait to give them a try!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The chapter which described how to put all of the ingredients together was particularly useful as there were many suggestions that I would never usually have together on my plate, so you could say that I have been awakened to new tastes and textures.

Any additional comments?

The book is well written and set out in easy to understand chapters that have a main focus, it also provides complete nutritional facts and substitutions so you will never feel as though you are deprived or missing out on anything, excellent!
