Beyond authentic or cookie-cutter duality

As a tech entrepreneur and executive I am constantly bombarded by marketing and brand "gurus" from two different camps: the first one offers a "proven" cookie-cutter approach that will always work if only you stick to it; and the other camp evangelizes authenticity as the only way to reach the hearts and minds of your audience. I think that reality is much more complex but exciting at the same time. It is therefore inviting and refreshing how Jessica Ann approaches this dilemma. Definitely an original approach worth considering.

I struggled to gain actionable insights

The book promises to have you communicating and blogging like a CEO, but other than closing with a summary of what the book intended to impart, mostly it's about the writer's phylosopy on the topic of communication filled with poetic recitals.

Marketing Fresh Air

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

absolutely!

Any additional comments?

I'm a data driven marketer.

A/B testing. Customer segmentation. Avatars. Using projections for trends, etc.

It's effective, but that is refinement.

This book is about big shifts.

It's about changing the way you look at communicating with prospects.

Refinements and incremental improvements work wonders but this is one of the few books that gives you a leap in the way to think about marketing and reaching the true desires of your prospects.

And not in a shady way. In a real human empathetic way.

A breath of fresh air, and a shining five stars!
