Publisher's summary

Very few careers can offer you the freedom, flexibility, and income that day trading does. As a day trader, you can live and work anywhere in the world. You can decide when to work and when not to work. You only answer to yourself. That is the life of the successful day trader. Many people aspire to it, but very few succeed.

In the audiobook, I describe the fundamentals of day trading, explain how day trading is different from other styles of trading and investment, and elaborate on important trading strategies that many traders use every day. I've kept the audiobook short so you can actually finish listening to it, and not get bored by the middle.

For beginner traders, this audiobook gives you an understanding of where to start, how to start, what to expect from day trading, and how to develop your strategy. Simply listening to this audiobook, however, will not make you a profitable trader. Profit in trading does not come with listening to an audiobook or two, or browsing online. It comes with practice, the right tools, software, and appropriate ongoing education.

Intermediate traders may benefit from the audiobook's extensive overview of some of the classic strategies that the majority of retail traders regularly use with proven success. If you think you are beyond the stage of a novice trader, then you may want to jump ahead and start listening to Chapter 7 for an overview of the most important day trading strategies:

ABCD Pattern Trading Bull Flag Momentum Trading Top Reversal Trading Bottom Reversal Trading Moving Average Trend Trading VWAP Trading Support and Resistance Trading

For each strategy, I explain:

How to find the Stock in Play for trade What indicators I am using on my charts When I enter the trade When I exit the trade (profit taking) What is my stop loss

PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

Its a sales pitch

He gives some advice. Cool. But the book is designed to get you to join his online community. This is some good elusive market strategy on his part.

The other comments you see on this audiobook look artificial. I think they are people who are already a part of his website trying to boast the book to a higher level than it actually is, which is just a way to market his website.

Charlatan

This writer gives you a bare bones how to with little evidence backing up his claims and constant advertisements for his additional services costing well over $1000, the book is an advertisement, plain and simple.

To much of a sales pitch

The book is basically a sales pitch to join his other programs.
Content is of some value but this structure don’t work for me.

More BS from a trading “guru”

Just because a guy has a phd in chemical science doesn’t mean he’s more trustworthy. This book is just hours of selling you his website’s chat room, training program, and a subscription to his affiliate’s software, trade ideas (the most useless software ever).

So if you think you’re going to walk up to the market a total novice and make (and keep) money day trading, you have your head in a place where you can see what you’ve been eating recently.

This guy and others just wrangle up pathetic simps like you to convince you to throw you money at whatever they say, while not definitively saying it. Imagine you and ten thousand others are asking this guy what to invest in or what to trade. The capacity for abuse is there and, among these types of trading charlatans, almost always utilized. Think of it as being a donor to the trading guru charity. You pay them to learn, to talk to them, to talk to your peers, and then you buy the stocks they tell you to buy, and sub to the software and other things because they are packaging up your dreams and selling them right back to you.

Do yourself a favor: drop all of these stupid books. You’re in the wrong place for a trading education. The only place where you’ll get an impartial and legitimate understanding of the capital markets is through a college program in investment finance.

No? Fine. We need guys like you to buy at the apex, anyways. Ciao.

Save youself a headache. Start here!!!

So, I started trading on my own about 3 years ago. I was like a bull in a china shop. Didn't make a difference what I was trading or how I was trading it. I was here to re-invent the wheel. Buy, sell, buy, sell, watch a Youtube video and do it all over again. It shouldn't be surprising that I haven't been very profitable over that time. Then I came across this book. Honestly, I'm not a reader. I live by the motto that men need no instruction manual. But, I had to admit that I was going in circles. After reading some reviews, I decided that this may be the place to find some fundamentals I've been missing. I have to say, I was not disappointed. This book has forever changed the way I approach trading for a living. I highly encourage everyone to check it out before you get burnt out just spinning your wheels on your own.

Educational but...

I thought this book was pretty good overall. I learned quite a bit and took tons of notes. It helped me in my understanding in a lot of areas and left me feeling pretty confident to day trade. I still wanted to start small to get a feel for it but have been successful in my first little day trades.

My big problem with this book is that there are several graphs and charts that you will need to look at to really understand what he's talking about at several points in the book. As much as it was a little inconvenient that I couldn't just listen to these parts while I was doing different things, you could easily print them off. HOWEVER, he will tell you which figure (page) to look at and it's often incorrect on his website. For example, it'll say to see at figure 7.18 but after noticing this is not the same info that he's talking about, I have to scroll down a few pages until I find one that actually lines up with the info he's talking about. It shouldn't be that hard to keep your figure numbers the same as in your book. If you weren't paying close attention, you could end up more confused than educated. It does look like you can go to audible.com on your pc and the pages will be accurate there. Since he just refers you to his website, I didn't realize I could get the pdf's from audible until after I was done reading the book.

I also don't love that he brings up their chatroom several times but never mentions it costs $99/mo minimum to enter the chatroom. I think it would have been easy (and more honest) to just mention, "hey, we have this amazing chatroom where you'll learn a lot from other traders, including myself, which starts at only $99. It'll be totally worth it because... So and so joined and ended up doubling their current wins and what's his face was able to make $400 their first week after joining". I honestly feel like I would have been much more likely to join but instead I left feeling irritated.

Other than that, it is educational. Someone mentioned you could find all of this info online. I agree, you can probably find most of what you read in a lot of books online, but I don't want to take the time to search each method in detail when I could just have it all compiled for me and read to me while I do other tasks. This book won't leave you wondering what this or that means or how something works. I like the graphs to help me visualize and better understand, even if they are out of order. Overall, I would recommend and this is one of a handful of books on the stock market that I'll continue to re-read and continue to learn/ better understand little bits of info each time.

A highly practical handbook for Day Trading

This book is a highly practical "textbook/handbook" for day trading. The author has a unique ability to explain complex concepts in a way that a total newbie can understand.

What I found to be exceptionally helpful is his "holistic approach" to day trading as an occupation. While this books is full of specific, practical material to hone your trading skills it also contains a wealth of information on the lifestyle and psychology of trading. This makes "How to Day Trade for a Living" indispensable for anyone looking to get into this vocation.

Unlike the typical "get rich quick" YouTube marketers, Andrew covers at length the "unsexy" aspects of trading and he does that very early in the book.

Like other reviewers I was a little turned off by the pitch to join Bear Bull Traders online community. While it is something I'm open to in the future I'm yet to join. Having read other trading psychology books I realize that a good community can aid one's resilience and significantly increase your chances of success.

What really distinguishes Andrew Aziz from others in this crowded day trading space is his ability to teach. I've recommended this book to friends and I'm sure you'll find it to be very helpful in your day trading journey. Good luck!

Extremely Barebones.

Mostly tells you to find other sources of information. If you want any real methodology save your money.
