Publisher's Summary

The classic best seller on performance management is updated to reflect changes in today's working environment. When an employer needs to know how to gain maximum performance from employees, renowned behavioral psychologist Aubrey Daniels is the man to consult. What has made Daniels the man with the answers? His ability to apply scientifically based behavioral stimuli to the workplace while making it fun at the same time.

Now Daniels updates his ground-breaking book with the latest and best motivational methods, perfected at such companies as Xerox, 3M, and Kodak. All-new material shows how to: create effective recognition and rewards systems in line with what today's employees want; stimulate innovations and creativity in new and exciting ways; overcome problems associated with poorly educated workers; motivate young employees from the minute they join the workforce.

Unbelivably great

Amaizing simple description of how to make people happy at work, how to effectively manage employees. Written with simple understandable language, it will make you want to practice all those techniques right away. Very motivating

Should have read it much earlier in my career!

If you have only one take-away from this book (and there are many great pearls), it is that positive reinforcement is determined by the result, not the intention. Just because you think it is a positive reinforcement or encoragement, in the eyes of the receiver, it might not feel that way. I wish I'd read it much, much earlier in my career.

fantastic!

this is a great book - it's a different way from looking at management from many other business books, which tend to emphasis who you are more than what you do. it gives ideas that you can implement immediately. easy to understand. highly recommended.

Everyone is the business world should read this

What made the experience of listening to Bringing Out the Best in People the most enjoyable?

Learning how to stop supporting bad behaviors

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes but who da hell has 4 hours to sit and listen to a book?

Any additional comments?

Seriously if you are a manager of any sort, please listen to this book. Take note of how to properly motivate employees and NOT give to the whole group while not pitting employees against each other.<br/>Majorly love the section about goal setting.

Life changing book!

If I can sum it up, be the change you want to see in the world. great book. I wish the narrator was not so monotone though. he needs more inflection and variation in his speech.

this book will change your life and how you treat people!

Extremely droll narrator

The content of this book is great but holy cow the narrator needs to drink some coffee or something. It was pretty hard to focus while listening to the monotone voice.

Great book, the narrater did a good job but his voice was not pleasant, reminded me of a trailer for a murder mystery. I learned a lot from this book however!
