Publisher's Summary

Organizations are forever pouring creative energy into their branding strategies, tweaking their logos and websites, and building identities that range from warm and fuzzy to ultracool and edgy. But many forget that a brand, at its heart, is a promise to deliver results. If your brand experience fails to live up to that promise, customers will take their business elsewhere.

Brand Real is a unique business strategy guide for making a brand’s promise stand up at every customer touchpoint. Packed with proven, repeatable management practices, the audiobook shows you how to establish a sound, simple brand platform while avoiding the needless complexity that has tripped up many promising companies.

Author Larry Vincent presents cautionary tales from brands that have sputtered and failed, as well as instructive practices from brand giants such as Four Seasons, Apple, Google, Southwest Airlines, Flickr, and many others. With Brand Real you’ll learn how to connect the outward-facing elements of your brand logos, advertising, imagery, communications directly to the core elements of business strategy, and forge a powerful and lasting connection with your customers.

Any additional comments?

I am completely committed to building a world-class business and constantly refining my approaches to improve my business. With no prior reviews or knowledge of the author, I took a chance on Brand Real and was pleasantly surprised. First, Laurence Vincent appropriately describes the gravity of the commonly superfluous-seeming topic of business reputation through a plethora of admirable personal experiences examples. Second, he masterfully outlines an overview of strategies to properly create and/or manage a successful brand. Last, Laurence Vincent sets expectations one should have for the enduring work required to whole-heartedly take on such as task.<br/>Although I immediately started making some changes in my business and near future plans after listening to the book, my positive feedback is the book could have transition better to a next step to implement all of the information. The full implementation of the book’s key points is overwhelming and will require multiple disciplined reviews of the information. Overall, I am glad I took the time to listen to the book and better understand this important aspect of every business. I strongly recommend the book for anyone who is serious about building or maintaining a first-rate business.

Very easy to listen to and assimilate

This is a long listen! For this reason alone, the book needs a good narrator... someone easy on the ear. This audiobook has an excellent narrator, who brings the material to life and encourages you to want to continue to listen. It is a very interesting book, covering all kinds of aspects of branding. I found it valuable for my work, as well as for more understanding of what contributes to some brands having greater impact on the buying public than others. Whilst this may be of particular interest to those in the marketing field, it is worth a listen for anyone working in business, as you will gain insights that may well help you improve commercial success.
