Improved general knowledge book on Big Data.

Certainly instructive and not too procedural, so every common can understand it fully. Very respectable to have an overall knowledge of all the data technologies that are out there, cutting-edge to make improved conclusions.
Once a verdict is made you'll need to learn the technology selected for a profound understanding.

Really described well by the author.

These are involved at a level that can be implicit for the accomplished marketer who has contextual but does not requirement to go profound into the math. The attention is comprehensive with both administered and unverified means in data mining.

A concise book to learn BIG DATA.

When trying to learn about a new field, one of the most common difficulties is to find books that have the right depth. All too often one ends up with either a friendly but largely useless book that oversimplifies or a heavy academic tome that, though authoritative and comprehensive, is condemned to sit gathering dust in one's shelves.

gave 4 stars for the kind motivation of the book

But I think the book can eliminate some facts. We, the entrepreneurs, need real, effective, practical info.

The narrator "whispers". So a lot of air in his speech. Depending on the technology you re using to listen, he may be a bit unclear. He made the book sounds like it could be a mystery book if you don't understand English.

I would still giving it a try however.

This is the future of data science for sure.

As an initial fact for anyone attentive in attainment to know what Data Science is all about this book is a excessive source. This arena is gigantic and the writers do a decent job in painting the portrait of what it is all about.

Pro content for us.

This book is written by an expert in big data. I know that because I am aware of the basics of this. And now I read the book and I see that all my glitches are spoken in this book.
Essentially every problem deliberated appeared in my conduit too, as if the writer worked with me on my plan.

The book is not technical, packed with great info.

I think this book is impeccably suitable for these two types of individuals.
a) Who are studying technical particulars on data science and desire to know how to integrate this into their initiative environment.
b) Directors who do not need to know the procedures of the field but need the knowledge.

One of the best I've read, thanks

This book is an incredible mix of high-level description and technical facts. There doesn't appear to be much to benefit one essentially perform the procedures defined, but that does not appear to be the author's determined as well.
I escalate the convenience and simple English and easy way to writing was fabulous, it is for the viewpoint of an individual who is self-taught in data science and occasionally less familiar with the data language.

This is a nice intro into various areas of big dat

An interesting read, certainly for someone like me with a general interest in the field. I felt the author tended to meander slightly, but overall it was not bad. I would recommend to anybody with an interest in the concept of big data, but also to anybody who isn't sure whether or not they have such an interest.

Five stars!

I purchased this book in order to gain a basic understanding of big data. I had read a few articles on the topic and was curious as to the hype and the implications of big data. This is exactly what Big Data provides and more. Having read this book I feel as if I have a solid understanding of the concept, understand how it has changed, and will continue to change the world, and why it should it matter to me and everyone else in the global economy.

Great book..

The book is great. Truthfully, I would recommend to anyone who is interested in any type of data. My only criticism is that it is slightly idealistic.. His examples of what could/would be possible with big data can just be simple human over-optimism/pessimism. His examples are solid about how companies already begin to collect data and use it to make major decisions, but I would've liked to read more about how, specifically, that data was collected (some programs were mentioned), analyzed, and used (be extremely specific).

Very informative! highly recommended for all.

Excellent book that gives some great examples and details for Big Data. It shies away from technical implementations, and instead focuses on the reasons to pay attention to Big Data as a trend and how it can help a business or organization succeed. If you're looking for solid arguments for why people should implement Big Data techniques in your organization, this is the book for you.

Very informative book!

An excellent, easy to read and thought provoking book, laying out the pros and cons of the currently topical buzz phrase, Big Data. A must read for anyone wanting to know more about where big data concepts came from, are currently at, and may end up in the future with some really good, sometimes light hearted examples. This is not just a book for those practising in this field, but is a book for all regardless of background or experience.
