I really, really, really like this book

I like the author's "cut to the chase" approach and the narrator is one of the best I've heard - a winning combination. Several years ago I tried to read "Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy" by David D. Burns, but it was slow slogging for me. I have a short attention span and was looking for less jargon. "A Kick in the Attitude" can be implemented immediately by anyone who needs "a checkup from the neckup" on their attitude. It's one of the few self-help audios that I've listened to more than once and have recommended to others.

Quite good book but boring narrator

While I like the book itself, the narrator is extremely boring. He certainly doesn't know how to deliver the jokes that are in the book. I would have preferred a bit of animation in his voice.

really helpful

Very down to earth and energizing. Highly positive to give you a kick start into motion.
Very easy to listen to, and when it ends you just want more.
Good advise that works, which I would say is the main ingredient.

Great Refreshing Book

He takes you on a journey and really shows you what can be done when you take the right attitude with you... He makes no excuses, direct and to the point.

Nope. Sorry, didn't like it.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I downloaded it because I saw some of his YouTube videos and thought he was funny. He states that this was really his journal, that he didn't start off trying to write a book. Half way through the book, it felt that way. No big insights, didn't keep my interest.

Clearer road ahead

Really enjoyed the author's down-to-earth, this is who I am and why I love what I do unpretentiousness. He is encouraging and honest at the same time...sometimes you just need to 'get over it and get on with it'. I will be listening to this more than once!
