All Organizations Can Benefit From Coaching

The word coaching threw me off because I'm not a sports guy but after listening to this audiobook I can see that coaching goes way beyond sports.

I think that is one problem in the books title that needs to be overcome: people don't realize that coaching is critical for SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS and so they might be passing this title over.

After reading this book I will be implementing coaching into my small business asap, and since I'm into competitive computer gaming as a hobby, I plan to implement these strategies into my gaming clan as well. Mark Colgate outlines exactly what you need to do to beat the competition: you need coaching.

Great read. . .or listen. Get it now.

How did we miss this?

The word coaching is so far removed from the corporate landscape that I thought this book was about sports. After you listen to this book you'll understand what a big problem that is. Coaching and corporation/business should go hand-in-hand. Coaching is the missing ingredient in any plan to achieve excellence in business.

Feedback is everything

I don't want to be a spoiler here, but it's really about quality feedback. The problem is that that's a no-brainer, but we don't execute properly on what we know we need or should be doing. And exactly what do we need to be doing anyway? How do we do it? Dr. Colgate stacks up the evidence so well that you'll be wondering why coaching isn't an ingredient in more businesses. Well, it needs to be, as you'll soon see. Thank you Dr. Colgate for putting this book together. The narrator was top-notch too.

Great random stores!

Mark has done a good job of pulling together a lot of ideas from various authors. I liked the book, but found nothing new here.

The random stories were funny and the best part of the book
