Wonderful and sad story

Very well written. Loved the narrator in this book! As a southerner I get so disappointed with a lot of the narrators "southern accent" when reading a book but this woman was spot on. Would recommend and is definitely worth a credit.

amazing narration!!

this was just beautiful to listen to. the narrator did am amazing job that I will likely listen to ANY other book she is reading. the story was very very good. . there are some sub plots that I wish were either developed a little more or left out (like the red raven, why exactly was colli in the black ward. .. ) the ending was fitting but a little bit deux ex machina. overall a great book with fantastic, amazing narration

I could not stop myself from listening!

This book is amazing. It captured me and stole my imagination, I could not predict much of what was to happen let alone the ending. 10 stars!

entertaining

a 29 yr old women just out of rehab returns home to find her father in the late stages of dementia and her brother running for governer. worried about how her image will ruin his career, the brother tries to control her life under the guise of caring for her mental and physical health. she starts questioning her sanity as she approaches 30 and is still seeing things that others do not, as she has all her life. for 3 generations the women in her line seem to go nuts at 30..... is there a secret in her family's history causing her visions or is she just straight crazy? most importantly, what happened to her mother, grandmother, and great grandmother ar the age of 30? read it and find out.

ENTRANCING

I haven't heard an audio book this good in a long time. I couldn't stop listening. The story was great and the narrator was as well. I am from Alabama. Accent spot on as well as good research, spot on too.
