Publisher's Summary

When you ask yourself, "What else can go wrong?" The answer is everything.

Aria’s pyrokinetic abilities have always been hard to control, and being pulled in so many directions isn’t making things any easier. Now, she has to help Inarus, a foe turned friend who is being targeted by the Human Alliance Corporation - the very organization he once worked for.

But the HAC has more than just Inarus in their sights. Aria finds herself going deep into enemy territory to save a witchling child with never before seen powers that the HAC has kidnapped to further their own ends.

Aria has been hired to save a child once before, and she failed. That failure has haunted her even to this day and she won’t let herself fail again. With the HAC closing in, and complications between herself and the Pack rising, Aria has no choice but to succeed. A child’s life is on the line and Aria will risk everything to save that life but in the end, will all of her efforts be enough?

okay but... the narration has saved it

even though I do understand that a bit of trouble and bumpy roads are part of the development, I have to agree with other reviews: Aria's cry for independence sounds childish. The world is rich, the plot good BUT the dragging of Aria's childish behavior makes the story mpf, less enjoyable.

Were it not for Nicole Poole's fantastic narration, II'd have skipped soooo many pages of ridiculous pretense of independence. Okay, many have betrayed her but jesus wake up and trust, it might hurt if trust goes to the wrong people....still, better to live than to never have never lived the emotion.
