Publisher's summary

A classic fairy tale gets a sexy, edgy twist.

Jackson “The Beast” Boudreaux is rich, gorgeous, and unbelievably rude to the staff at Chef Bianca Hardwick’s New Orleans restaurant. Bianca would sooner douse herself in hot sauce than cook for Jackson again, but when he asks her to cater his fund-raiser, Bianca can’t refuse, knowing the cash will help pay her mother’s medical bills. Then Jackson makes another outrageous request: Marry me. The unconventional offer includes an enormous sum - money Bianca desperately needs, even if it does come with a contract - and a stunning ring.

The heir to a family bourbon dynasty, Jackson knows the rumors swirling around him. The truth is even darker. Still, he needs a wife to secure his inheritance, and free-spirited, sassy Bianca would play the part beautifully. Soon, though, their simple business deal evolves into an emotional intimacy he’s built walls to avoid.

As the passion heats up between them, Bianca and Jackson struggle to define which feelings are real and which are for show. Is falling for your fake fiancé the best happy ending...or a recipe for disaster?

I just loooove listening to Sebastian York

I loved it. A love story with a strong female character. A handsome, irritating but so sensitive man. I laughed, I cried. I loved it.

I love this author. I loved these narrators. I adore the alpha of this book. however I found the "heroine" one of the most unlikable characters I have ever come across. she is awful for most of this book

Slap Slap Kiss - Nothing not to be loved!

I got this book, enamored by the summary, but not really expecting too much since I'm not usually a fan of romance novels. However, this book totally slapped me in the face. Despite being close to 11 hours long, I finished it in only a few days. Honestly, I could have finished it in one or two if I got everything I wanted. XD

In this book Biana is a true firecracker, and some of her slang had be laughing hysterically. She is a character of charm which has you focused entirely on the story. Meanwhile, Jackson is just as interesting. He certainly lives up to his nickname "The Beast", but as you traverse the story you learn so much more about him.

The metaphors in this book are clever, and the flames between Jackson and Bianca really make this book steamy. On top of that, the narrators Sebastian York and Diana Luke do an amazing job of voicing their characters, I don't think it would be an easy feat to get better narrators for this story.

Finally, the recipes in this story sound amazing, and I'm looking forward to making some of them!

If you're debating on whether to get this audiobook or not, honestly go for it! Even with my low expectations I was drawn in with the first chapter, and ended not the littlest bit disappointed!

Sexy as New Orleans Jazz

Gorgeous Jackson "The Beast" Boudreaux is super wealthy, totally socially inept, and has been unbelievably rude so long, he rarely recognizes when he is. New Restaurant Chef Bianca Hardwick's New Orleans restaurant is sassy, saucy, and takes no crap off anyone...especially the beast. Bills are piling up for Bianca plus her mamma's medical situation is getting worse and Jax comes to her and asks her to cater his fundraiser. Jackson makes another outrageous request to marry him to help him with his inheritance to the bourbon dynasty. Soon, their simple contract evolves into emotional intimacy he's built walls to avoid.
I really enjoyed this story however it sometime felt like it was missing some of the pieces. Why did Mamma make a big deal with the box of papers before she died and nothing came of this in the story line. Why Mamma was pushing so hard to have Bianca reconnect with her ex if she was so intelligent and knew what he was a pill!
Sebastian York was fantastic as always and Diana Luke brought the southern twang in her accent to life making me enjoy the story all that more!

What an unusual concept in a book. A fast paced, sexy laugh sling book that was heart felt and difficult to put down.

Laugh Out Loud

Only a couple of writers make me laugh out loud while I'm reading (or listening) and J T Geissinger has now joined the list. Great story, characters and narrators. Love always finds a way it's the journey that makes it worthwhile.

Very slow burn

3.5/5⭐️
2.5/5🌶

MC: Bianca & Jackson

Dual POV, enemies to lovers, marriage of convenience, sick parent, slow burn, death, HEA

Bianca created a menu featuring the bourbon made by Jackson’s family for her restaurant. One night, he comes in to sample it and is an absolute grump. Surprisingly, he loves her food and can’t get her out of his mind. When he’s told he either has to marry or move back to the family compound to keep his inheritance, he asks Bianca to marry him in exchange for him paying for her mother’s medical bills.
These two frustrated me to no end. I feel like a lot of their issues stem from them not talking. A simple, honest conversation would have saved them both a ton of headache. I do wish that there was a little more detail at the end of the book to tie up loose ends but overall I enjoyed this audiobook.

Bianca and Jackson started with the wrong foot but it was just the beginning of their romance. The narration was superb and the characters’ accent a charming
