Your testimony shows that truly life changing events give us opportunities, to turn such heart breaks into such healing and hope for those that feel that light won’t come. Healing, compassion, forgiveness, faith. Abuse, Addiction, Pain, Shame, Guilt and Regret God truly uses you to love so many.

The author beautifully tells her story with authenticity and hope. The love, perseverance, and faith shared through the difficulties the author has experienced is unparalleled. I enjoyed listening to the audio version with the rich accent which gave me a the feeling of hearing this overcomer message right from the authors heart.

This book touched my heart in a way few books ever have. What moved me most was the overwhelming sense of love—you can feel it bouncing off the pages, wrapping around you, and lingering long after the final chapter. Resilience

We are warned at the beginning that the story doesn’t follow a timeline but it is more like sitting across from someone as memories are caught and stories shared. It is the feeling of sitting with a relative and learning about what they have gone through to be the person you know now.

A book chronicling this many hardships and struggles is often bleak beyond hope or covers everything in toxic positivity. The thread running through each and every one of these is the realness of pain and struggle with the lessons learned in each overcoming. Not everything is tied in a neat bow and I was left knowing that there were going to be high’s and low’s once the book of finished. It is a testament to the strength of community and what it can look like to keep moving forward.
