    Dec 11 2024

This week the gang BEGINS! It’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre round 2 with the Platinum Dudes!

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning is a 2006 American horror slasher film and a prequel movie to the 2003 film. The sixth installment in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, it was written by Sheldon Turner from a story by Turner and David J. Schow, directed by Jonathan Liebesman and co-produced by Kim Henkel and Tobe Hooper (co-creators of the original 1974 film). The film's story takes place four years before its predecessor. It stars Jordana Brewster, Diora Baird, Taylor Handley, Matt Bomer and R. Lee Ermey.

Originally, the film had the subtitle The Origin. New Line Cinema had to pay $3.1 million more than expected in order to keep the rights to the franchise after Dimension Films made a large offer to buy it.[3]

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning was released in North America on October 6, 2006. The film received negative reviews from critics and grossed $51.8 million on a budget of $16 million.

The Bummer Boys are back, baby! And they're no longer called The Bummer Boys! That's right; it is my pleasure to introduce to you... THE PLATINUM DUDES! Join the PDs as they venture into a BRAND NEW mini-series on the films of Platinum Dunes, beginning with the 2003 horror remake of Tobe Hooper's classic THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE! LET THE BAYHEM BEGIN!

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a 2003 American slasher film directed by Marcus Nispel (in his feature directorial debut), written by Scott Kosar, and starring Jessica Biel, Jonathan Tucker, Erica Leerhsen, Mike Vogel, Eric Balfour, and R. Lee Ermey. Its plot follows a group of young adults traveling through rural Texas who encounter Leatherface and his murderous family. It is a remake of Tobe Hooper's 1974 film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and the fifth installment in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise. Several crew members of the original film were involved with the project: Hooper and writer Kim Henkel served as co-producers, Daniel Pearl returned as cinematographer, and John Larroquette reprised his voice narration for the opening intertitles.

You guys are awesome. Full stop. I found my way here because I wanted to listen to someone talk about Frailty 2001. You did not disappoint, I've since listened to all of your episodes on movies I've seen, and am now forced to watch more Blumhouse movies just so I can listen to more episodes and follow along better. I'm a 49 year old female letter carrier and you've got me out on my route cracking up laughing like a maniac especially when you guys go off on one of your rants 😂 keep doing what you're doing BUT... I'm going to need you to find more loopholes to do other classic horror movies! All the other podcasts I've found either have people with horrific grammar or guys who burp into the microphone. Or worst of all, idiots who didn't pay attention or understand the movie. I knew I found my people during my second listen, Split, (what DOES the M stand for?) when you guys gave your brief takes on that POS movie The Lady in the Water. More content please guys, for me you are redeeming podcasts after all of my recent disappointments in other ones I've tried. The banter between Dorian and Kyle and sorry I can't remember all the fkn names but anyway you guys all play off of each other seamlessly. Thanks for the laughs and please keep them coming!
