Publisher's summary

Nine years ago, Dawson took Chloe's innocence and left her, thinking she had deceived him in collusion with her father. Stopping in a small Idaho town for a rodeo appearance, he discovers life has changed for the former ranch princess. He's shocked to discover she has a son - his son.

There are more discoveries in store for Dawson, like finding out she never lied to him, and also the startling realization that he still wants Chloe as much as he ever did, but this time on a forever basis. While building a relationship with his son, he also has to convince her of his sincerity. It won't be easy, since she doesn't trust him at all. It's going to take everything he has to prove to her he's more than a buckaroo just passing through.

Nice HEA

I enjoyed the short book although would recommend this short to a younger audience. The characters were in their middle twenties and were developed well and believable. I chose the middle rating for the story because of the nice bow that was all tied together at the end. It seemed rushed and therefore unimaginative. The narrator however was the best part for his western twang and raspy voice. These were both wonderful.

Short Hot Ride

This is exactly what the publishers description states. It is less than two hours long, a whirlwind of cowboy, starting off with some very hot "romantic/mature" scenes. A perfect listen for a quick car ride or to break up the malaise of a cold afternoon.

I really enjoyed David Quimby's performance. He was able to capture each character as well as the hot plot. Great performance.

Please read the publishers description, as I cannot add to it without giving away any of the plot or ending.

*I was given this book in exchange for my review.

Note: mature themes
If this were a movie it would be rated R

Please consider "following me" here on Audible.com. I purchased a lot of books by authors that I am faithful to. I also have the opportunity to review books in all genres, many that I would not pick up on my own. I have been pleasantly surprised by new authors and narrators. Thanks!

Great quick listen

--I was given a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This was a great quick listen. Many times, when ththe stories are this short, there is no story. I was pleasantly surprised that there was character development and emotion relayed in it. Chloe and Dawson have chemistry from the start. You feel for Dawson in the beginning for the way he is treated and then hate him for the way he treats Chloe. Fast forward nine years, and Dawson is in for a shock. His reunion with Chloe is sweet and filled with love and passion.

David Quimby narrates this book. His voice is perfect for the cowboy voices. Love the slight twang and enjoyed the book.

Good story

This was a good story, although I did not care for Dawson throughout most of the story. After a terrible discussion with Chloe's father, he took Chloe's virginity and innocence out of anger. He left her and did not look back. This happened nine years ago. He bumps into her in Jasper, Idaho where she is working in a diner. There he discovers he has a son. He is determined to be a part of his son's life one way or another and he still wants Chloe. David Quimby did an good job with the narration, although his voice seems too old for the young characters. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Short, but good!

I was given this audio book in exchange for an honest review. This was really short, but really good. I thought it would be lacking in background and details, but it totally worked.
It's the story of Chloe and Dawson. Nine years after having a sexual encounter in a moment of anger, Dawson finds Chloe under much different circumstances. He also discovers that they have a son. Dawson wants to be part of not only his son's life, but Chloe's too. Can he convince Chloe of his sincerity after that first encounter?

Nice story

STORY REVIEW......

The story is good. I liked the characters. It would have been nice to have had more of their personalities brought out as well as more background to the characters.

AUDIO REVIEW......

I found the narrator to be very annoying sounding. He doesn't do different voices very well. Not awful just not good..

Cute with a side of heat!

In audible books narration is important and although this narrator was not great, the story carried itself just fine.
I felt what the main characters went through and was happy with the outcome.
