Publisher's Summary

My happy endings only come in one variety.

I have time for two things in my life: my little girl Lyssa and working my a** off to stock pile my baby a fortune. Then, she rode into my life. And now this cowboy's aching to break a wild mare.

I should be focused on the ranch and my investments.

Nannies are supposed to minimize distractions, not cause them. She's got the kind of sweetness that makes a man want to sink in his brand. And she's connected so deeply with my spitfire of a daughter, she has me thinking I've found my match.

I'm usually the one who tames the wild things around here. But just when I'm ready to give her the ride of her life, she pulls in the reins.

This stubborn cowboy's set in his ways, but even I realize something needs to give if I'm going to keep her.

A single dad

A short audio book. I love how Sophia is able to steal Rhett's heart and get him to slow down and spend more time with his daughter. I love how hard Rhett fell for Sophia and how he supports her in her career choice. Narration is great.

Hot and Fast!

This book is a quick and hot listen, with a strong, single dad. Rhett is a ranch owner and business man, continually growing his empire so his daughter will want for nothing. He is not looking for love. When his nanny's granddaughter, Sophia, comes to the ranch, and isn't a young girl but a smart, beautiful woman, Rhett is thrown off kilter. The real enjoyment for me while listening is the reality check that Rhett has, reevaluating his life and priorities as he gets to know Sophia. I also love the interactions with Lyssa, she is a kid full of spit and vinegar, keeping everyone on their toes. For a novella, I think the characters are very well developed and the story is one I would love to see continue.

La Petite Mort and Ruby Rivers always give their all to a narration. Rhett being the strong, capable businessman needs the voice of one and the choice of La Petite Mort is perfect. His deep, masculine voice is exactly how I picture Rhett, giving him that capable and in charge sound. Ruby Rivers does an incredible job with her voicing of several characters. She always brings the heroine to the forefront, but her portrayal of Lyssa(child) and Yaya(grandmother) really showcase her talent.

I loved it!

This short story was great! Ruby Steele and Virginia Sexton wrote a hot, fast book that was full of vivid imagery. I loved several of the characters in this book. Sophia, Rhett, Lyssa, and Yaya all were so special. I thought that the narration by La Petit Mort and Ruby Rivers was spot on. Each painted such vivid and lovable characters with their voices and emotions. In the story, Sophia was a college student who was in a field outside the typical gender dictates and full of life and the need for speed. I thought she was full of zest and independence. Lyssa is Rhett's daughter and was a tomboy and hellion. What a delightful little girl. She would keep anyone on their toes. Ruby Rivers portrayed both of these females with distinguishable voices that was wonderful to listen to. La Petit Mort's voice was smooth and full of seductive nuances that fit a cowboy.

I am not normally a fan of cowboy lines but this was actually a very sweet yet sexy story. I loved the characters- The cowboys was sweet and soo sooo yummy! I loved the intelligent little girl and how she was being raised to be such a fire cracker. I thought the plot was fun, steamy and a great quick read.

Love the narration- great production.

A strong man always needs a stronger woman

Rhett is a single dad, doing his best to provide a strong and successful future for his daughter, Lyssa. Between work and Lyssa, he has no time for extra curricular activities. Until Sophia befriends his daughter.

Yaya is Lyssa's nanny. She is still recovering from a bout with pneumonia and asks her grandaughter to help her watch Lyssa. Rhett assumes Sophia is Lyssa's age from all the play and fun the two have had, until he returns home and goes to collect his daughter. Sophia opens the door, and suddenly Rhett wants to make time for some extra curricular activities.

This was a fun, short romance. I hope to hear more about Rhett and Sophia as they are a couple that the reader can love. I wished for more story when it ended. I could not stop listening once I started.

La Petite Mort and Ruby Rivers are the perfect narrators for this romance. La Petite Mort has such a deep and rugged voice, he truly makes Rhett come to life. Rhett's emotions, attitudes and thoughts are all narrated with such passion that I just fell for him myself. Ruby Rivers has such a sweet voice. Ruby Rivers makes Sophia a strong but loveable character. Ms. Rivers completely made me feel like Sophia was a dear friend. I found myself silently cheering as Sophia and Rhett got closer. The chemistry between La Petite Mort and Ruby Rivers truly enhanced this romance. I highly recommend this story.

Ride it home

Ruby and La Petite are suburb for these characters! While i love how they brought it to life, the story itself felt a little forced for me. I did enjoy it and would definitely listen a second time around.

Engaging

I actually listened to the audio version of this book. I found the story engaging. I love that Sophia is a woman in a man's world. I wish we would've seen more of her struggles with that, but that's not what this story was about.

Rhett has a 7 year old daughter, Lissa, who acts like she's 30. I love the interaction between Sophia and Lissa because Sophia reminds Lissa that she is a little girl and they have fun like little girls are supposed to.

I think my favorite scene was at the end when Lissa is all decked out in leather and Sophia gives her a welding helmet and then teaches the girl to weld. I think every girl should have a role model that challenges the boundaries and lets you dream big.

I can't wait to see if Timothy and Simon get a book and what woman ropes those two men.

Swoony Cowboy Daddy audio listen!

Yee-haw! BUCK ME DADDY, a sweet and sexy single daddy cowboy romance, lassoed my heart!

THE STORY:
Rhett Wallace, a gruff, tender-hearted rancher/businessman whose life revolves around his daughter, Lyssa, toils away day and night to give his precious little girl a rich legacy that will ensure her a life of immeasurable comfort. But, alas, this stalwart, achingly lonely single dad works too hard and plays too little--until his longtime nanny’s much younger and oh so purty granddaughter comes to help out during the summer! She not only bonds with Rhett's bubbly little girl but brings love and warmth, sunshine and laughter back into his life! But when he is on the verge of landing a prosperous business deal that could fulfill all his hopes and dreams for his family, it could come at a HUGE personal cost. Yikes! What’s a love-smitten cowboy daddy to do?

MY MUSINGS:
I thoroughly enjoyed BUCK ME DADDY, which was rife with sweetness, charm, sass, heart-tugging tenderness and SINFULLY SEXY romps! Rhett and Sophia generated combustible chemistry, I just adored the interactions with his spirited and precocious little girl Lyssa, and the scenes with Sophia’s spry grandma "Yaya" were a hoot! For a novella these authors delivered a full bodied story with plenty of juicy drama and romantic sparks to keep me captivated! Although this book is told in dual POV, this is very much Rhett’s journey as he is torn between work and family and must reassess what’s truly important in his life. I found the development of the romance very pleasing with an enchanting HEA to boot!

This was a quick, fast paced audio listen, narrated delightfully by La Petite Mort and Ruby Rivers. They truly brought these vibrant characters to life and I was smiling and gushing and giggling throughout. Mr. Mort’s deep, rumbly western twang was just SO SEXY it gave me shivers and tingly butterflies. He is such a talented narrator and made me fall so hard in love with Rhett by infusing this gruff, lonely-hearted cowboy with such soul! I could literally listen to his voice all day…there’s a soothing quality to his robust, velvety smooth tone that just turns me to mush!

And Ms. Rivers depicted Sophia, a smart, fiercely independent and ambitious spitfire, with a charming blend of sweetness and sass! She has an endearing quality to her voice that I really enjoy and her knack for impersonating the supporting characters was mighty impressive as well! In particular, her clever line deliveries of the outspoken Grandma Rosemary were spot on!

BOTTOM LINE:
BUCK ME DADDY had me WHOOPING WITH JOY! I look forward to more Westerns by these talented authors and narrators!

Nice short story

This was a great short story. I needed something nice, without drama or complications and this was the perfect book for it.

The story develops fast but it's not lacking in fact is well written and enjoyable.

La Petite Mort with his gravely voice was really gteat while Ruby Rivers voice was pretty good with the female voices, her voice being sweet and soft, and her little girl voice was so awesome.
