Author's Note: This slow-burn, low-spice/clean enemies-to-lovers rom-com is set in a small town full of quirky citizens and is packed with pop culture, witty banter, and a guaranteed Happily Ever After--provided they can resist the urge to throw each other off a Colorado mountainside first. After all, Brynn (you probably won't like her at first) is desperately trying to save her career and Sebastian (who's hiding from his own demons) really just wants to be left alone to sing karaoke in peace.

"Quirky small-town settings, enemies to lovers, and crisp, delightful prose . . . [this book] will leave you smiling." -- Emma St. Clair, USA TODAY bestselling author

She's a sunny morning-show host. He's a cynical ex-reporter. They're destined to hate each other . . . Aren't they?

Brynn Cornell has to be stuck in a nightmare. Just last week, she was riding high as cohost of the popular morning show Sunup. She's America's Ray of Sunshine--the girl-next-door beauty who drives up TV ratings while never exuding anything but her trademark positivity and poise. All it took was one huge on-air mistake to expose her snarky side to the world and make it all come crumbling down. Now she's back in her hometown of Adelaide Springs, Colorado, in a last-ditch attempt to convince viewers she's not the mean girl they think she is. All she has to do is apologize and capture some feel-good footage reminding everyone she's just a girl from humble beginnings who's grateful for her big break, and she might manage to preserve both her career and her image. But this town holds painful memories that she's not ready to face.

Sebastian Sudworth was on the fast track to the journalist hall of fame. A superstar reporter with a reputation for being in the center of the action, his fearless, relentless coverage of major events around the globe was winning him awards and accolades--until something snapped inside him and he vanished from the scene under mysterious circumstances. Sebastian sought refuge in tiny Adelaide Springs, working odd jobs and trying to blend in as a scruffy mountain town citizen.

When Sebastian is assigned to chauffeur Brynn around town, Brynn is sure he can see right through her carefully cultivated, sunny persona. But she's determined to do what it takes to maintain her image and save her career--so she'll just have to charm the socks off Sebastian the same way she charmed her viewers. Easier said than done. It's no picnic to play nice around someone you hate . . . especially when you might be crazy about them.

Reseñas de la Crítica

'Bethany Turner has a magical, effortless way with words, and BRYNN AND SEBASTIAN HATE EACH OTHER showcases this perfectly! You also get an adorable small town, enemies to lovers vibes, and all the feels you expect when two protagonists figure out themselves as they figure out each other. Add in a cast of unique and delightful secondary characters, and you get a feel-good story sure to delight and entertain.'
'From the moment I heard the title and saw the cover, I knew I NEEDED to read this book. And if you are someone who loves quirky small town settings, enemies to lovers, and crisp, delightful prose, you do too! You'll be rooting for Brynn and Sebastian, not just as a couple, but as two people in need of a little redemption and maybe a life reset. This is a romcom that brings some real depth and development, but will also leave you smiling. Longtime fans of Bethany Turner and new readers alike will love this one!'
'Set in a charming small town and populated by well-developed, believable characters, BRYNN AND SEBASTIAN HATE EACH OTHER is a thoughtful and often tender exploration of two wounded souls seeking redemption and learning to trust again. I couldn't get enough of Bethany Turner's witty banter or the loyal found-family and sweet nostalgia threaded throughout this delightful story. A must-read for lovers of romantic comedy with healthy doses of pop-culture, humor, and depth . . .'
Turner (The Do-Over) charms in a squeaky clean contemporary driven by a battle of wits between journalists . . . In addition to the appealing and endearingly flawed protagonists, Turner delivers a strong supporting cast, especially cameraman Orly Hillill and generous town mayor Doc Atwater. Readers will long for a quick return to Adelaide Springs and its salt-of-the-earth citizens.
Turner's (The Do-Over) latest is fun, fast, and heartwarming. This book will appeal to anyone who loves enemies-to-lovers romance and to readers who appreciate when a community plays a central role in the story.

I Loved the characters and thought the book was very touching.
This time of the year I'm in the mood for happy endings. This book delivered.

Happy endings.

I appreciate all of the cult classic mentions in the dialogue. I love the non traditional happy/ not sappy ending/ beginning. I love how the book wasnt just about “Marsha, Marsha, Marsha” I learned a lot about journalism. I cared so much for the friendships in the town. The town was like”come with me if you want to live!!” Omg I can’t stop the oneliners… seriously though this was my first book by this author and I enjoyed this story and it was minus the angst and it was still unpredictable . This helped me just relax and watch the characters grow and storyline build- punny with a side of romance and smarts😀thank shump later
This written by a poor 1st grade teacher who is in need of coffee and juice boxes 😝😂

The scoop no spoilers on Brynn and Sean. Hate each other…🤞🤞

I preordered this book because I am a fan of the author. This book was funny and just what I needed. A good escape.

Funny and a great story!

This author has never met NYC media types. No female anchor is using her hotel’s shampoo and conditioner, she would bring her own.
This whole story is predicated on the conservative belief that coastal types in NYC and California think so poorly about people in the middle of the country. I’m sure there are some people who are jerks and believe things like that but not all. Like I’m sure there are jerks in the center who think “the coastal elite” look down on them. Really, everyone is so selfish they don’t think about anyone else.

Unrealistic

I really enjoyed the book and was sad when it ended. I have really enjoyed all the books I have read from this author, keep up the great work.

Love this story

The two main characters have major anger issues.
They go at each other for eleven chapters.
I was just about to download another book, and come back after
distressing from this one, and then chapter 12 played.
I did like the book after the 11th Chapter as the anger drops.

Great AFTER the 11th Chapter

It just didn’t keep my interest.
However, it was useful to play while trying to get to sleep… I dozed off almost immediately
