Publisher's summary

Introducing his autobiography, A Life in Parts, Bryan Cranston talks to us about embodying the infamous drug kingpin Walter White, the physical and emotional turmoil that comes with being an actor and how a difficult and oftentimes violent upbringing led him to become an unrelenting optimist.

Having first graced our screens at the age of seven, Bryan now has over 150 titles to his name, including Linwood Boomer’s hugely celebrated sitcom Malcom in the Middle and Vince Gilligan’s multiaward-winning Breaking Bad

A fan of short stories, Brian presents A Life in Parts through a series of brief chapters which take the listener through a chronological journey of his life. Also an excellent guide for prospective actors, Brian imparts advice to those who are looking to make their mark in Hollywood.

Brian Cranston fans, take note!

My only criticism: I wish this interview had been longer! BTW: Cranston's autobiography, "A Life in Parts" is EXCELLENT! :-)

Nice and short.

Bryan Cranston is a sincere, honest man who doesn't add a lot of slick marketing nonsense to this interview. He talks a bit about his mémoire, but doesn't linger too long in it and the interviewer is generous. Worth it.

Inspires me to listen to Cranston’s Memoir!

This interview gave insight to Cranston’s thoughts about the importance of reading and audiobooks, gave some thoughts about Breaking Bad, as well as touched on his Memoir which I’m now very interested in listening to on Audible as it was not only written by Cranston but also narrated by him as well!
I am glad I listened to this interview.

Good Intro to Bryan Cranston's Autobiography

This is a nice succinct interview with Bryan Cranston in relation to his new autobiography, A Life in Parts. Helpful and interesting to get his insights on the art of acting, emotional investment on playing Walter White in the incredible series Breaking Bad, and what it's like to narrate your own audiobook. Highly recommended and a quick read.

Host ruined it

Cranston was insightful and engaging, but the host was such an unprepared dope, no content, no direction, it was like he wasn't even paying attention...
