Editorial reviews
The late investment banker and businessman Bruce Wasserstein was never a favorite with the press. He was known in the media as being keenly intelligent but judgmental and arrogant in demeanor. He did not suffer fools gladly. But in this 2007 discussion at the 92nd Street Y, with journalist Steven Adler, whom Wasserstein had known for 25 years, the controversial captain of industry softened ever so slightly. Though not entirely engaging at the beginning of the interview, Wasserstein warms up to the questions and displays the brilliant reasoning that made him, in Adler's words, a "near mythic figure in mergers and acquisitions".
