l love the Odd Thomas series!

I read these as they came out several years ago. I loved them then and I love them now! never do they disappoint!

Odd, but in a good way.

I feel about Dean Koontz books the way I felt about Archie comics: I loved reading them but I didn't want anyone to know. Now that I've 'fessed up, Brother Odd is great fun and nicely completes the last Odd Thomas book while setting you up for the next one (yet to be written, but it will be). The narrator is first rate and the story is so weird you can't help but love it. If you like a good dose of sugar and no nutritional value - - enjoy and don't be embarrassed. One last thing, read the books in order: Odd Thomas, Forever Odd, then Brother Odd.

Mr Koontz does it again

Dean Koontz does it again. This book is a thriller right to the end. Brother odd is long running saga akin to Stephen Kings the dark tower books. Odd is an apt name for this Character. He sees dead people like Elvis and Jack the ripper and with all the trouble it entails.

BrotherOdd

The story seemed a bit short. It had some deep curiosity and profound thoughts. I was happy to see monastic life presented as natural by someone who had some understanding of it. The monks and the nuns were wholesome. The exuded love for all. As ever, the descriptive language was superb. CD

another great book

I thought by the third book that I will be sick of the series like I am most other series but I found myself downloading the fourth one and getting ready to start it

Who knew Odd could be so fun?

book three was better than book two. while not as exciting as the first two installments of this series. i think the mystery is much better. the ending while not very climatic is satisfying and the characters are extremely relatable and fun. its fun book

Weird But Good

Entertaining and kept my interest, but not quite as good as the first two in this series. The plot was just too weird (and yes, I know how that sounds in a review about a book where the hero sees dead people). I enjoyed the verbal sparring between Odd and the Russian (whom I think would be a great recurring character in this series).

Perfection

Where does Brother Odd rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I can not tell you how much I love Dean Koontz. His worst book still gets and A from me. I only wonder how his wife lives with a mind like his. Brother ODD. Just ODD is my absolute addiction. I love this creation of a guy who talks to the dead, Elvis, Frank and several others. It is funny at times, scary at times and always a rush of a ride till the end. The story has depth and lots of little twist and turns. Please if you read nothing else of Dean Koontz just try one of the ODD books. Its for your own good, I tell you to do this.

My Favorite Odd Manuscript

Uneviquabably my favorite "manuscript" in the Odd Thomas series of eight books and one short story concerning the prelude, ...not withstanding the final three chapters of "Saint Odd." ;-)

Anyone who knows me would not find my love of these titles, storylines, and consequential assessment to be "odd" at all.

I would love to see Mr. Dean Koontz develop the "Brother Knuckles" character and/or the "Russian Bear" character in their own series.

I also found the narrator to be very talented in ALL the books of this series, but most especially in "Brother Odd" and in the final book, "Saint Odd."

Timing was off with this one.

Lots of detail as expected but some of the conversations seemed to drag on. Not necessarily the performance but too much verbal sparring.
