Why did it have to be Bram sent on a mission with me?

My name is Ashryn Barker, and I'm now what I once hunted.

Broken Illusions

Ashryn Barker is a valued vampire hunter until she's turned into a vampire. Now instead of chasing vampires, she's being chased. Her and Dram are on a mission only it is a long way to go and it has to be done at night and unfortunately they are being chased. She finds herself drawn to Dram and can't understand it. Then they finally reach the goal now they just need to find the object they were sent for.
Charlotte Storm makes a fantastic Ashryn and brings the other characters to live as well.
Short audio and story but you will be drawn into the story and sitting on the edge of your seat!

Great continuation of this story

This book perfectly sucks you back into Ashryn’s world and catches you right from the beginning. You can’t help but want to continue on and find out what happens with Ashryn and her vampires.

Nice addition to the Trilogy.

I would suggest listening to this trilogy in order of books.
In this book it takes up where the first on finish.
I was absolutely hooked from the first word to the last.
I would definitely recommend this listening to this book.

Amazing sequel

This is the second book in the Ashryn Barker series and boy oh boy there are soo many questions that I have that I hope the next book will answer. This book actually allows us to get to know about Ashryn on a deeper level and understand a little bit on why she is the way she is. With plenty of action and a little bit of romance mixed in we are starting to see just how complicated Ashryn's life is. The narrator was a pleasure to listen to and she did a great job

KEPT IN THE DARK.

l really enjoyed this second book in the series. l love listening while doing the humdrum chores that we all have to do, and we all know us women can do them with our eyes shut, right?! Charlotte Storm's voice is a pleasure to listen to, painting a clear picture in my mind's eye and makes the characters come to life.
Laura Greenwood has created an interesting storyline that has me anticipating the next move. looking forward to reading the next book.

Plenty of Tension

I really enjoyed the continuation of Ashryn’s story. I am left with more questions than answers and can’t wait for the next installment. Bran’s development is a very pleasant surprise. The narrator does a great job. This book is very fast paced and will fly by in no time.

Secrets and Betrayals....

The second books finds Ashryn discovering more about herself and her past, and further betrayal. As the story unfolds Ashryn becomes more emotionally invested in the new vampires around her, and developes a new respect for their situation. This book has been very entertaining with some humorous vampire one liners!

Enjoyable, but more please

I read the first book in the series as an ebook, so there was a slight disconnect for me. I really struggled with just how quickly the relationship between Bram/Ashryn changed - the forced proximity hadn't been for that long after all and according to the narrative it was barely an hour of being in the bunker that Bram started sharing more personal things about himself, which felt at odds with the way he'd been built up to be this stoic, grumpy guy.

As with most of Greenwood's shorter books that I've read: I've enjoyed them, but found myself wishing there was more to it...

Great second book to the series

I enjoyed this book, it was good to get more details bout how the Guild works and their links to the vampires. Ashryn learns a few things that turn her world upside down and she spends lot of time re-evaluating what she thought she knew.
There was a lot of internal conversations for Ashlyn as she worked through everything she discovered along with her growing feelings about the boys. A big Chung of this book is about Ashryn and Bram which was lovely to see how their relationship develops.
The narration was easy to listen to. I did sometimes struggle whether Ashryn was talking out loud or thinking, and some of the different characters didnt sound any different.

Great listen

Another fantastic book from Laura Greenwood, well narrated and edited.
Continues Ashryn's journey into vampire life and discovering who she is when she's not a hunter.
Bring on more please.
