Publisher's Summary

Multi-platinum rapper Devin has it all. Money, cars, fame, women - he’s living the life of a rockstar. As with anything in life, all good things come to the end of its cycle, and God takes you off of a path so that you can begin anew.

Devin stops getting booked for shows, and it causes a ripple affect on his life. Now unable to take care of his family, he turns to heavy drug use to take his mind off of the pain. When the money stops flowing, all of the love that he thought was genuine doesn’t exist at all. Scandal after scandal surfaces on all of the major blog sites; allegations and rumors, liens from the IRS, and now rumors of his ties to murder for hire plots has him mentally defeated. It’s just him against the world until he meets and helps Ashlon when she, too, was down and out.

A good girl with problems of her own, Ashlon understands him in a way that nobody else cares to. She vows to do all she can to help him the same way that he helped her when nobody else would. The question is...can Devin escape his spiraling rollercoaster of drug and alcohol addiction enough to help himself? Can he defeat his demons and pull back to reality long enough to accept help? Or will the devil continue to break and take him under?

Certified tear-jerker based on a true story. This is a story of addiction and redemption; of overcoming some of life’s most overwhelming obstacles with the help of God and his most qualified angels.

What a Story

Interesting terms of events and it held my interests however the narrator absolutely could use better training. This made the story hard to capture the whole story. I know I had to listen 2-3 times because he was awful.

Living your truth

This book was so awesome. I admire you for finding your truth, it's so amazing how sometimes in life we don't understand why things happen the way it happen. It's all in God plan, the good, the bad and the ugly. I pray that GOD(Yahweh) keep his hands around you as you keep pushing towards your goals in life. I pray that GOD(Yahweh) keep all the temptation away from you. However, remember the devil will bring temptation in our lives, However, GOD(Yahweh) will along us a way to get out. Never forgot GOD(Yahweh) will never leave you or forsake you. Keep pushing my brother in Christ. Praying for you.

Decent story

I wish this will be rerecorded in a studio. The narrator did a good job, but spoke too fast.

Makes you go Wow!

For me, the story started out a bit uncomfortable because of all the cursing and "n" word usage. Although I am a black female in her 60's, neither were a norm for me. With that aside, I thought it was a good story and loved the way that God worked in their lives and the author being able to show that through his writing. Good read!

Stuck at the kitchen table

I got this book bc of the title. Never did I know that it would have my attention that I sat at my dining room table and didn’t move til it was over. The book was so positive in a way that I needed to hear every word. So many times we go through things and just need affirmation that it’s going to get better. This book did that for me. Thank you Mr. Weaver for this book. I can’t wait to listen to more books by you. Salute

Narrator is too fast

The worse narrator; he was too fast and did not make the story interesting. this would have been a pretty good book if it was not for the narrator
