Really enjoyable addition to the trilogy :D

4-4.5 stars

This was a really good book and addition to the trilogy. Cat and Griffin have a lot facing them in this book with the power play between the 3 kingdoms escalating. I will admit that the beginning of the book kind of messed with me a bit. There was a secret that came out and a misunderstanding about the repercussions of that reveal. TBH, I saw it the way Cat saw it and was a bit flummoxed at the turnaround and the fact that the blowup was a misunderstanding. Outside of that, the story moved pretty smoothly and progressed nicely, I guess I just thought it was a weird way to start out the book.

Once past the initial misunderstanding, the story was great and quickly delved into Cat, Griffin and his family trying to figure out how to hold onto the power they have when they seem to be in the weakest position of the 3 Kingdoms. In order to find help in securing their power base, Cat, Griffin and Beta team go off to foreign lands to deal with dangerous people and try not to get killed by big, bad monsters. It's rough but thankfully, Cat and Griffin have some powerful allies that help things along and move them towards their destiny (whether they want it or not). The story ends with another big battle won and Cat and Griffin happily (and solidly) together but there's still more they have to accomplish in book #3.

This was a really enjoyable book. I still like Cat and Griffin and think they make a great couple. Cat's finally starting to realize some things about herself and coming to accept herself and her destiny and that's a good thing. I also liked that this story gave us a bit more insight into some of the secondary characters, making the story even more enjoyable. Overall, I really like the story and the characters so I'd recommend the trilogy (I wouldn't say they're standalone stories so I'd recommend reading book #1 before this one). :D

Entertaining

The Alpha and the Harbinger never cease to amaze as they take on the journey to bring about change. The story is very entertaining and smexy. I was engrossed in the fight scenes. The narrator did a good job!

Great Second book!

I can’t believe it waited this long to read/listen to this book! It’s amazing! It has all the action, romance and suspense you could ask for in a fantasy/Greek mythology book. Griffen and Cat are back and this time Cat has to stop hiding who she is and start BECOMING what she was meant to. Along with a Griffen And the beta team they set off on an quest to merge the kingdoms and bring peace to the lands. Along with doing some pretty unthinkable things. This book was packed with so much action and suspense I had a hard time putting it down/turning it off! Off to dive into the next!

Great read

I enjoyed this book very much; did not put it down once I started it. Looking forward to book 3. Like to see how Kat comes to accept who she truly is and a mastering of her abilities.

good second book in the series

More story and less explicit sex at the beginning so read the first book first.

Just as good as the first

I was so annoyed at Griffin's overreaction at the beginning of the book. I understand his anger but his cruelty was unexpected and him believing she should have known he didn't want her to leave when everything he did said otherwise was stupid had me taking a break until the next day. I almost didn't continue but I'm glad I did. The rest of the book made up for my annoyance at the begining. This story pulled me right in. I didn't just listen to it I felt like I loved it. Can't wait to fall into the next one.
