Editorial Reviews

This self-help audio program is designed to inspire listeners and stimulate them to become the people they've "always wanted to be", all in the span of less than 30 minutes. Personal development author Tony Wrighton serves as the master of ceremonies of Brand New You, picking the brains of hypnotherapist Glenn Harrold and professional speaker Michael Heppell. These conversations contain expert advice on everything from exercise to motivational literature, but above all they direct the listener to "translate knowing into doing". The result is a personable, down-to-earth, encouraging message that listeners would be hard-pressed not to heed, for these three men have made a career out of helping others have a "brilliant life".

You Get What You Pay For: This Audio Book is Free

What would have made Brand New You better?

This is not a book so much as it is a 26 minute commercial for books by Tony Wrighton , Michael Heppell and Glenn Harrold. I am sure that Mr. Wrighton , Mr. Heppell and Mr. Harrold were not trying to do anything nefarious. Perhaps this should be classified as an interview with these authors rather than Brand New You.

What could the authors have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Let people know it is a description and a lead-in to the possible purchase of other books that you may enjoy, NOT an actual book in itself.

Worth the money

What did you like best about Brand New You? What did you like least?

Yeah, I know it's free, and it's worth every penny. This is basically an advertisement for the author's other audio books. I'll admit there are a couple of helpful tips, but the narrators speak so quickly that I had to slow down the playback speed because their pace made me feel anxious. Though normally I feel quite the opposite, in this case I found the narrator's British accents to be very annoying. Good premise, badly executed.

great tips - great narrator ..

Any additional comments?

Great tips and given concisely in a direct and uncomplicated narration. I've always loved British accents and this narrator does a really good job. I assume his is the real thing.
Yes - I would suggest this book for the short listen and positive message.

Valuable Sampler

Would you listen to Brand New You again? Why?

I will be listening to this again and taking notes.
There are wonderful ideas and references given.
Relistening is a great refresher to keep the ideas active in my life.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Brand New You?

I appreciated the explanation of goals working more thoroughly if set on a subconscious level.
I enjoyed the authors giving specific steps to undertake to move forward towards those goals.
How to state your desires and goals in proper language and how to act on those goals.

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Of course you get the wonderful voices, but also the excitemenr and emotion of each speaker.
You get a feel for the gentlemen themselves and for what they and their ideas can do for you, how you may connect.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I was energized, excited.
Recently I participated in a couple of online seminars about using your life to better potentail and getting healthier, finding one's purpose. The information in this audiobook is equally as valuable.

Quick and Educational

Would you consider the audio edition of Brand New You to be better than the print version?

I hate reading so yes I would consider the audio edition better.

What other book might you compare Brand New You to and why?

It is hard to compare since it is not so much a book as it is an interview. They give some suggestions of books to listen to so I will check them out.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

The upbeat motivating tone.

Any additional comments?

This is a quick listen with a lot of great advice. I have more notes from this 26 min book than some 2 hour long books.

Short and Positive

Very nice. It was short, had some good tips, and was very upbeat. A perfect 30 minute (I'm rounding. It was about 26+ minutes) filler while I worked.

Very Inspiring

I think this audiobook is really useful. It's in a format that eliminates obstreperous descriptions of things that don't matter, and focuses on the points. The narration is impressive and automatically draws your attention. I think it deserves a big thumbs up! :)

This was my first audio book

I was worried that listening to an audio book would put me to sleep, but Tony, Michael and Glenn's enthusiasm really kept me alert. Being an lover of metaphysical books, this audio book for me was just like reading the cliffnotes of all that I've already read. If you are new to this category of books then Brand New You is the perfect book for you! I did thoroughly enjoy it and got some great ideas of which audio books to download next.

No

I would be soooo mad if I had paid for this. This is more like an ad for other books, complete time thief.

Disapointing

Any additional comments?

Just a list of things you could be doing with no guidance of how to use them in daily living. I know l shouldnt critisize a free sample. Best book on being and feeling brilliant is 'lessons l have learned' by Davina McCall. Its just great examples of how to feel brilliant about yourself put into practice.

Little bit of a lift

We have all heard it before but this short book is a nice little boost for your mind to help lift you up and get motivated its nothing special but did leave me feeling positive and I have even changed a few of my ways so I can't really knock it. Give it a go, as you have nothing to lose.

A good free book with some good tips and good interviews. Has given me some good ideas for future books to spend my credits on! Can't ask much more for free and it's only 30 mins too!
