Publisher's summary

I’m the guy you call when you need to impress your overbearing family, your boss, or your ex. Yeah, I’m a male escort, but not just any escort, I’m the escort. The one with a mile-long waiting list and a pristine reputation that’s very well-deserved.

I’m the guy who’ll make you feel beautiful, desired, and worshipped...all for a steep price. I’m hired to make you shine, and I always deliver.

I’ll be whatever you want me to be for one night - except my true self. This is just a job, a role I play to earn a paycheck.

But I’m not the guy who falls for a client. Not once in six years.

And then I meet Elle. Her friend has hired me to escort her to a wedding, but Elle doesn’t know we’re just pretending.

There’s a fire between us I never expected. A connection I haven’t felt in so long. One kiss, and I’m losing all control.

But what will happen when she finds out who I really am?

enjoyed the story

I really enjoyed the story, but was distracted by the female narrators exaggerated ending to her phrasing. The male narrator was good and had a great speech flow.

poor narration by Erin Mallon

couldn't stand Erin Mallon's sing song forced sexy narration. would've given the book 4 stars but her narration completely ruined the experience.

Plot lacking

This story has the potential to be a really good romance comedy/drama... but the actual climax of the story/there after seemed rushed. They build up to the secret that can ruin everything, but then when the secret is revealed it is "oh let's have one fight about this and live happily ever after." The male narrator is perfect- he does a really good job. I gave a 3 out of 5 stars because of the female narrator. She narrates everything as a nervous female who is out of breath, on the verge of crying/panick, and draws out the last word of almost every sentence. Her voice changes are spot on, but her pace and the projected emotion on the main female character are monotone. There is a light at the end of the tunnel of this book... they give the next book in the series first 3 chapters for free and this amount actually hooked me on to it. So much so I purchased the book without waiting for my credit in 3 days.

Needs different female narrator

The story wasn't bad, but my God, the female narrator was awful. Just having to listen to her long drawn out words was torture and completely ruined the story for me. Honestly it is almost an accomplishment to make EVERY single word twice as long as it should be. I couldn't even focus on the plot because of her "sexy" voiceover. No thanks. Nope.

Great listen!

I have been waiting for this one to be released, and was pleased to get today. I love both of these narrators, especially Erin Mallon. Pretty well anything she narrates is an automatic download for me, and the dual narration with Jason Clarke and a title by Kendall Ryan made this worth a credit!
This story has a bit more depth to it than one may think by just reading the descrption (don't dismiss it at being too shallow or superficial)...but at the same time, it's not an intense story line either. It's just great for when you need a time out, a few laughs, several swoons, some sexy hotness thrown in here and there, followed by the HEA.
I love how the characters meet and have this instant chemistry, but he keeps holding back, which naturally is frustrating to her. He does all the right things, but she receives some information a bit prematurely. And the struggles are real! But they were sometimes...real 👍!
**Oooh, and there is bonus goodies thrown in at the end for good measure...to make sure we come back for the NEXT listen to follow this one as well. And I might add that they were NOT all that stingy with how much bonus material was given! Usually you get just a snipet to lure you in. Nope, you are left with some waaay good stuff and I can't wait to now get a hold of this next one to see how things go with Kase! Yum!

Female narrator was terrible

The female narrator made the story very difficult to listen. She dragged her voice and word endings and it wasn't cute.

Too cute to miss...

The narration between Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon was spot on for this story. This was such a cute & sweet read about Nic, an sexy escort and a client request to take her friend, Elle (a woman who has no clue who he actually is) as her wedding date.

Nic is a man who takes his work seriously and has set some hard rules when it comes to his job and when it comes to finding the one. Little did he know that Elle was the game changer and vice versa.

Thinking this would be another easy job and Elle being set up a plus one by her friend (& soon to be family) to a wedding; it starts to spark something more each time they are together. The dilemma...when the truth (and lies) are becoming a challenge. The more they get to know each other; it will either make or break that chemistry between them.
