It was the 4th of July and later on she was having company over to celebrate. Her husband had passed away a few years ago, and it was just her and her 18-year-old roommate she rents a room to, Charles, living at home.

She continued to let him live there, even after Edward had passed away. They were very close. Coming over later were mostly his friends. Carol giggled to herself as she thought about this. He had very sexy 18, 19, and mid-20s friends. They all had very nice bodies, and loved to work out around the house. They all loved the pool, and barbecuing outside. She had to admit, she thought to herself, she had always had a fantasy about one of these guys seeing how horny she was since Edward had passed, and taking her and let her have it.

Story was great, but wtf is this narrator's problem. whoever allowed this book to be put on audible .. with that voice.. needs to think their career choice as well

the book was great... but i can't get over that horrible narrator

Narrator needs to rethink her career choice

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I've heard some bad narrators, but this one tops the cake. Liz has had some books where she was just starting off, but she was still a million times better than this woman. I got 35 seconds in before i threw my laptop because it wouldn't mute

Who was your favorite character and why?

Couldn't get that far because of the narrator. What i don't understand, I love the books where Elizabeth narrates her own books. She's got an amazing voice... who the HELL put this woman in here over that amazing narrator? Someone needs to get fired

How did the narrator detract from the book?

do you know the sound of nails scraping down a chalkboard??? I will sit through that for 24 hours straight before listening to 20 minutes of this woman

I loved the story, Elizabeth Meadows is an amazing author, and narrator, I don't know who this woman is who narrated this book, but she needs to step away from the mic and never return

disappointment. I buy things from Elizabeth Meadows, but then I heard this horrible story. I have heard 2nd graders who were just learning to read do better at reading than this!

Whoever the publisher is, drop this woman, and put Elizabeth back on her own books
