Publisher's Summary

The easiest way to understand boundaries in your relationships is to consider boundaries as a property line. Everyone has seen "No Trespassing" signs, which sends the reasonable message that if you abuse that limit, there will be consequences. This type of limit is anything but difficult to comprehend because you can actually see the sign and the borders it ensures. Individual boundaries can be harder to characterize because the lines are imperceptible, can change, and are extraordinary to every person.

Here's a peek at what you'll learn:

  • Types of personal boundaries
  • Physical limit intrusion
  • Passion and intellectual
  • Sentimental and scholarly limit intrusions
  • Setting healthy boundaries in dating
  • 9 ways to develop boundaries
  • Developing boundaries in marriage
  • How envy can wreck a relationship

Could not finish

Worst performance of all time. I couldn't even continue the book to assess the content because the delivery was so bad.

Just Awful

What would have made Boundaries in Relationships better?

This may be a good book, however the person narrating it makes it unlistenable. It sounds like someone who just learned to speak English with mispronunciations and weird pauses.

Would you ever listen to anything by Patricia Carlisle again?

maybe

Would you be willing to try another one of Trevor Clinger’s performances?

Absolutely NOT

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

NO

Any additional comments?

Have it rerecorded

Hard to listen to

Hard to listen to that clinical like speaking for too long, but don’t worry the book is short that it was over in one car ride.

Get a new narrator, FAST!!!

I honestly couldn’t get past the first chapter, you may have well not paid for it to be narrated and just had it read by a computer, seriously wouldn’t have made a difference and you would’ve saved dome money. Harsh maybe? But seriously, self help can be hard enough, throwing in a narrator that’s worse than Ben Stein in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”?

Eek.

I made it a few minutes in but couldn’t handle the cadence (like a broken computer program reading with inhuman pauses). It was very distracting to hear a book read in so monotone a fashion and with such little dynamic. So cringeworthy. I will have to consider purchasing the book to read myself to determine if the content is any good.

Computer read 🤦🏼‍♀️

Such good information completely butchered by a computer read, monotonous voice. Seriously Trevor- I’ll read the thing for free; Sad that the information in the book gets lost because of the poor production.

Excellent advice, reader unable to bring to life

I believe everything that was said within this book was very helpful. The narrator himself that was very robotic. I believe it can be improved with a different narrator.

Spoilt by narration...

The cadence and rhythm of this narrator made this interesting book unlistenable. How did this happen?

This book needs to be re-done.

Extremely disappointing - perhaps Audible could introduce a screening/ approval process to ensure a high-quality product.
