This novella comes in between books 2 & 3 in Scarred Hearts series. As with the two other books I've reviewed in this series, this really feels like young adult except for some of the [mature] subject matter which is very limited.

Zander and Daphne are expecting and Daphne doubt that Zander cares for her. She is convinced that he just wants to take responsibility for his their child.

In the meantime, Zander is doing everything that he can to make Daphne feel loved and convince her that his feelings for her and the baby are genuine and long-lasting.

The writing is good and the narration was strong and steady. I knew who was which character was speaking simply on the performance alone.

As I stated, this felt more like young adults – does he love me? Why doesn't he loves me? That sort of dialogue was consistent throughout the novella.

We are also reminded of and introduced to the characters coming in the next book. I hope to continue and finish the series as *I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my unbiased review.

Its a love story with broken people...there are many, but this one is special!

This was my fave of all of them!!! I love Daphne and Zander...and now we have baby Alec!! I cried and cried because I was so happy for them...I am glad Daphne finally opened her heart and Zander crawled right in!!!
