Publisher's summary

Wall Street Journal best-selling author Nicole Snow returns with a screaming, funny romance where two office enemies fake love until they're all out of make-believe.

You know that awkward moment when your lava-hot boss says “marry me”?
Not for love. Not for real. Not without a mammoth payoff.
Of course, this fortune comes with a ginormous snag - Ward Brandt.

Call me bananas.
I must be short of a full bushel rejecting Chicago's finest billionaire.
Who knew he was my boss when he crashed my worst date ever?
Oh, but he found out.
He swore I wasn't fit for Brandt Ideas, chewed me up, and spat me back out.
I vowed I'd prove him wrong - and sabotage a metric ton of his coffee.

Then tragedy strikes, upending his limitless ego.
Guess who needs an image makeover to shore up the family business.
Big, fat hell no.
King Snarlypants has a peanut-sized heart and a chip on his shoulder bigger than a redwood.

Find another sucker, Ward-hole.
Even if I agreed, my shields are up.
No magnetic kisses. Zero butterflies. Nix the blushing when everyone gushes over what a “perfect couple” we'd be.
Then again...it's just 90 days, and mama needs a windfall.
What's one little white wedding lie with a bossy grump built like a god?

Full-length enemies-to-lovers romance loaded with banter, drama, and so much slow-burn heat you'll want that happily-ever-after shaken over ice. A storm cloud of a man stuffed into a suit strikes a deal with the girl whose smart mouth drives him to the ultimate madness called love.

This is rough.

I’m 4 hours in. I don’t think I can finish. It’s the male narrator. I don’t like how he voiced the main male or the other characters.

Hot Wardhole

This is a great fake engagement, grumpy billionaire boss story. With lots of humor and extra hot steam, it is a must read! The narrators did a great job bringing even more life to the story!

Fun

This is the 2nd book by this author I have listened to. I enjoyed the story (the “love” scenes were steamy) 👍. The only reason I gave 2 stars for the performance was due to the male narrator, his voice was NOT hot & steamy. Other than him it was a fun predictable romance.

Art meets artifice

Male voice was poor choice.
Book needs duet narration with better, younger, resonant male voice!

Good

Nicole Snow does it again. Storyline did drag in spots but still a great read. Narrator Carly Robins is fantastic as ever, but can’t say the same for Rock Engle. His voice for his part was ok but trying to talk for others was horrible.

Narration

Rock Engle doesn’t do it for me. He lacks emotion and everything that should be emotional sounds like he’s having a stroll in the park. Sex scenes sound monotone.

Ward & Paige

A classic enemies to lovers trope. Funny Beginning, hot and steamy thoughts and Fantasies that turn into reality in the middle. Two damaged people with crappy exes find each other, and work together to save Brandt ideas with a meddling Grandma and Brother, and his questionable non moral parents, make for a good read and a HEA.

Loved , but the male’s voice not so much.

Read the book and had to buy the audiobook. Only weird thing was; the male reading the book. His voice I swear sounded like Casey Kasem! Which was a total turn off. There was no way to get into this male being sexy with this voice. He sounded old to. Not a young male. Would of been better with a different male voice. Loved the female narrator.

A Perfect Fit

Ward is CEO of the family architecture firm built by his grandparents. His parents were spoiled children who brought scandal to the family and made him very no nonsense, his younger brother a careless playboy. Both work at the firm with his grandmother
Paige is an artist who loves the work of Wards grandmother and becomes Wards executive assistant
The story drags on a bit long, my only reason to lose a star, it could have moved at a faster pace but not so I lost interest.
I love Carly Robbins narration she puts so much life into it. I like Rock Engel except when he tries to do a woman’s voice, esp in passion. He’d be better toning it down
I enjoy the author and have two of the other books in this series
