If you liked the first two, you'll like this one

Some have complained about the narrator. It is the same as the first couple of books. He may not be what you're expecting but I believe he does a good job. I am not distracted from the story by the narrator. The story is engaging and keeps you going. It may not become a classic but it is a good read.

EXCELLENT narration

Would you listen to Born to Die again? Why?

I am not sure why a review states it was "terrible narration"? It was perfect and it fit the story-line. Overall, these books are a good read... HOWEVER, it is getting a little "crazy" to think all these serial killers are all from the same area (if you are reading the series). I am glad the author did not add more "killings" to the little town..... Then it would be redundant and boring.

DB

Narrative was bad... Story line is good. I think that if a female read it would of been better. I liked this one the best out of all books.

Narration is fine.

This book delivers what is expected from this genre. The narrator is the same guy who did the other two books and sounds the same.

I love this series!

Alan Nebelthau did another outstanding job reading this book! This guy can tell a story. I really love this series and I like the introduction of new characters in this book. I was really surprised at the twists and once again I was on the edge of my seat wanting more!!!!

Won't Purchase Any More Books in this Series

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No. This is the third book in this series and it was the weakest of the the three.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

The whole story line was weak. The fact that this story once again takes place in the worst snow storm in Montana's history is monotonous.

What didn’t you like about Alan Nebelthau’s performance?

I have felt like, from the first book in this series, that the narrator should have been a woman. Also, Mr. Nebelthau is too old to be reading this book. The characters are almost all under 50 and he sounds like he's older than that.

Could you see Born to Die being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

No.

terrible narration

the story isn't that bad, although i've not yet finished listening. bigger problem for me is the narrator, he's awful. his voice sounds very elderly, he has very poor enunciation, and slurs most of the words. unfortunately, it looks like this narrator does all of lisa jackson's books so i'll probably be reading vice listening to any others.
