Publisher's Summary

Agatha Blackmore came into her powers early as a child. Her first spell was a thing of beauty and wonder. It brought terror into the hearts of her family. Who wanted to accidentally become a pink chicken? Now that she's older her magic is out of control. She needs a teacher and none of the Witch Schools will take her. How about a career in law enforcement? The FBI needs serious help in catching law breaking paranormals. It's a match made in heaven or is it in hell? God only knows what happens next.

Great intro to the Federal Witch series.

I really enjoy the Federal Witch series by T. S. Paul. Great stories, snappy dialog and a micro unicorn for comic relief and some stored up power for Agatha to use. "Don't call him piss boy!" You gotta love that. The director of the FBI academy is upside down 10 feet in the air wetting his pants! Paul is a heck of a good story teller. I grab all his new Federal Witch series books.

Enjoyed the story...

I had a hard time keeping up with the performance. It felt rushed and the voices were not distinguished so I often had to review what was said. I would like to hear the performer when she doesn't rush her performance in the future. I am sure she can and will do better. Nevertheless the story was entertaining.

It's fun to be a witch!

This short book was entertaining and built more for young adults. I enjoyed it and hope to read the next book even though I am an older woman.

Good start

Narration was pretty bad. The book was a decent start to the series and I look forward to reading the books. I will not be listening to them though.

Good concept, poor execution

I like the premise of the story. The reading/audio of this book was absolutely horrid. It sounded monotone with a few inflections that sounded incredibly forced. It was like listening to nails on a chalkboard. It was only 1 hour and I wanted to turn it off after 30 minutes. I only kept listening because the storyline held some promise and had some humorous moments and the fact that I was traveling so nothing else to do.

The story was great but the delivery...

I enjoyed the book. The story line is very addictive but the delivery sounded like a bad text-to-speach job. Awkward delivery that sounded like one long sentence with pauses in odd places. No personality coming through at all. Not sure I want to next books if they are all going to be like this.

Sound quality poor

Excellent voices for the different characters but poor sound quality at times.

Great Series written from the POV of a young woman Witch with too much power at a young age who goes to work for the FBI.

A good listen an introduction to the series

Would you listen to Born a Witch...Drafted by the FBI! again? Why?

It is good enough to listen to again but as a short introduction and background to the main stories there is no real need.

What about Francis Alais’s performance did you like?

Her performance was very good and suited the characters very well to the point that an annoying and funny little character was both annoying and funny. Her portrayal of the lead as a fun loving teen with things to learn was done well with her voice enhancing the authors words.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

You can't beat the title that's the one i would use. "Born a Which, drafted by the FBI".

Any additional comments?

As with all background introduction stories this was short, an I would have liked more but the narration and tail made me want to read an listen to the first main book in the series. In other words it did its job.
