Publisher's Summary

Lexi Stuart is risking it all. Saying au revoir to the security of home, her job, and could-be boyfriend Dan, Lexi embarks on a culinary adventure in France to fulfill her life dream of becoming a pastry chef.

As she settles into her new home in the village of Presque le Chateau to study and work in a local bakery, her 20-something optimism meets resistance in the seemingly crusty nature of the people and culture around her. Determined to gain her footing, she finds a church, meets a new friend, and makes the acquaintance of a child named Celine - as well as Celine's attractive, widowed father, Philippe. Even Patricia, the gruff pastry cook, shows a softer side as she mentors Lexi in the art of baking.

As Lexi lives her dream, the only thing she has to do is choose from the array in life's patisserie display window: her familiar home, friends, and family in Seattle or her new life in France. Lexi discovers that as she trusts herself and leans more on God the choices become a little clearer - and making them, well, c'est la vie!

Wonderful story

The characters and with lifestyles of the French were spot on. I listened through Audible. The narrator was very good. I am still waiting for which of the two love interests will she choose. I guess she will have to pray on it.

Bon Appetit: A Novel This book was okay but was nothing that really made an impression. Like so many of the Romance Package.

A Delightful Story for Foodies :)

I'm a foodie at heart- so I really enjoyed "Bon Appetit." It follows an American who moves to France to work in a bakery and go to pastry school. I loved all the descriptions of the delicious desserts she prepared as part of her coursework. It made me want to fly over to a Paris for lunch!

The rest of the story about Lexi coming into her own in a foreign country was also good- but a bit slow in parts. I loved the narrator- she had wonderful inflection when she read and her French accent is quite good. I'm looking forward to reading the last book in the series to find out where Lexi ends up!

Favorite Books!!

I love these books so much! Lexi is basically living my dream life and if I can't actually live it myself then at least I can experience it through the authors fun and descriptive writing.

For Some Reason As I Listen I Feel Very Hungry

Dieter's beware, all the luscious mentions of food, pastries, cakes, breads and soups? I am surely to have gained 5 pounds.
The author has a way of writing that makes you want to learn French, speak it, live it. After finishing I immediately wondered who I could share the story with.
