Publisher's Summary

Ben Acevedos is having the worst few days of his life, and he's searching for a unique group of people who can help him...assuming they even exist. In his dark and fantastic quest, he also learns the five simple steps he can take to achieve perpetual motion, the holy grail of renewable energy. But the guidance Ben seeks and the people of this famed machine are equally misleading. After all, when a single wrong word can kill you, it's hard to concentrate on daily life.

Interesting take on Vampire lore

the short story is a different perception of turning into a vampire. instead of people willingly submitting to a beautiful existence as an eternal creature of the night, the people who are turned in this story are all suffering and have to choose between eternal misery or a death they must request. They all gather in the same bar and watch each other struggle with the life-or-death decision to submit and let the vampire who bit them have his way with them or to struggle against the crushing need to do so.

A "coming-of-vampire" story

A sweet new perspective on the vampire story with a vivid description of the transformation process.
