Catch this FUN Wave
I enjoyed the audiobook version of BODY WAVE by Nancy J. Cohen. It marked my first exposure to her "Bad Hair Day Mysteries" but won't be my last. Marla Shore runs a hair salon but dabbles in crime-solving. She's dating a police detective when her ex-husband seeks her help in solving the murder of his third-wife, Kim. With an intriguing plot, a fascinating cast of characters, Marla's undercover exploits to get at the truth will delight readers - and listeners - as it did for me in this audiobook narrated with perfection by Mary Ann Jacobs.

Multi Tasking Marla
So if Marla is keeping her day job, goes undercover as a PCA to sleuth, is that considered two or three jobs?
It’s a unique a fun cozy mystery, stronger on the romance side but in frequency, not details.
It’s a bit deeper with the relationship and details of her previous marriage, since her ex husband is the main suspect.
Most cozy mystery lovers will gobble this up. Or you can read/listen while you’re at the salon to decrease your chances of multiple Bad Hair Days!

Shear Delight!
Body Wave by Nancy J Cohen is a such a fun listen. I found myself laughing out loud at some of the things in this cozy mystery. Marla is an endearing character, and I also loved the matriarch of Miriam. The author wrote a well plotted story with twists, endearing characters, humor, and a great resolution. This is my first listen to a book by Nancy J Cohen, and definitely not my last. I found this to be a great standalone, and part of a series. Mary Ann Jacobs did a great job bringing the characters to life with her distinguishable voices. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review.

This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you listening long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. She does a fantastic job with all the voices and kept my attention until the end.

Fun cozy mystery
I enjoyed this fourth book in the Bad Hair Day series. I find Marla's character charming, but I agree with some other readers that she reads older than she is supposed to be, but that doesn't take away any from my enjoyment. I would have thought that Marla was in her 40-50's, as well as the detective that she is romantically involved with. I enjoy reading about Marla's description of things, as it relates to hair - I've never been too concerned with my hair, but I enjoy the different perspective. This book has some interesting characters, such as Miriam Pearl. I enjoyed watching her "blossom" under Marla's care. I listened to the Audible audio version of this book, and I enjoyed the narration. The book offers mystery, romance, and humor. I really enjoy this series, and look forward to the next one.

Another great hit in this series
I really enjoy listening to this series because I love female sleuths that are not in law enforcement. This series has some comedic aspects to the story. Marla takes a job as a caregiver to assist in the case she is investigating and gets more than she bargained for. I commend her for standing up to the matriarch's family. I really enjoy listening to this narrator vas well. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Another great adventure with Marla the hair stylist. I love this series. Marla helps her ex husband, Stan, find out who killed his wife before he has to go to prison for it. She works to find the real killer and Dalton works with the evidence. Together they will find the killer or prove Stan is the killer. I look forward to the next book.

Another enjoyable story in the series.
I am enjoying listening to this series. I love the characters and I feel like I get to know them a little bit better with each story.
The murder mystery in Body Wave was complex, very intriguing and had enough suspects to keep me guessing. There were a few funny scenes particularly those involving the older lady whom Marla nurses. It was a lot of fun.
On the romance side of the story I am glad that Marla is taking her time and not committing straight away to a new man. She deserves to have some fun before walking straight into the role of step mom.
This is a series I will happily continue to read.
I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy.

A good mystery and great characters.
Marla is back in a new mystery. This one involves her ex husband. He is accused of murdering his wife. He turns to Marla for help. Dalton is reluctant to involve Marla in the investigation, but she knows Stan is a rotten person, but he isn't a murderer. As they try to solve the case, Marla and Dalton become much closer. A good mystery and great characters.

The best of the series!
I missed Marla so much & I was so excited when I saw another installment of this series was available. This book is actually my favorite of them all! When Marla’s awful ex Stan is accused of murdering his wife, Marla decides to help clear his name. There is a lot of fun as Marla goes undercover for some intel & does a lot of detective work with her boyfriend Dalton. The characters are all so enjoyable & the narration is perfectly done! It’s a fun cozy through & through!
