In Saucer Holler, the crew come back to Earth to have some babies and catch up on some well-deserved R&R. Babies attract mother-in-laws, though, and Bob has one for the books. The crew of the Gene are off to take Joanna’s new friend home in Roo the Day. Finding derelicts with no survivors gets them down, and one of them brings Topper to a crisis of conscience. When they find a ship that looks like Zoom built it, Bob hires the builder.

Story
When Van Tudor returns to his childhood home, he inherits more than the family farm. His grandfather used to tell him fantastic stories of spacemen and monsters, princesses and galactic knights. Little did Van realize, the old man's tales were more than fiction; they were real. Hidden beneath the old barn, Van’s legacy is waiting: a starship, not of this world. With his combat AI, an android bird named Perry, Van takes his first steps into the wider galaxy. He soon finds that space is far busier and more dangerous than he could have ever conceived.

Quicker is a near-future SciFi/Thriller whose young heroine, Ell Donsaii, is an intrepid athletic phenom who reminds one of David Weber's Honor Harrington. Like Stieg Larsson's Lisbeth Salander in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Ell is also a mathematical genius who, instead of counting sheep, works on her own theory of quantum mechanics to help her drift off to sleep. At once shy and concerned about her social skills, yet well loved by those around her, she finds herself at the center of a terrorist plot at the Olympics.

Story
Warner spent his days like almost anyone else. He got up, went to work, answered phone calls in a call center, went home, spent time with his daughter, and went to sleep. Only to repeat the pattern over and over and over. Life was as mundane as anyone could ever fear it to be. Today was the day that all that would change. On this day, his daughter Maya would be nearly fatally injured, plunging Warner into a world of paranormal creatures, monsters, and magic he’d never known existed. The only consolation is that he discovers he’s not quite human, either.

Story
A "prehistorical-fiction" novel about a boy prodigy in a primitive caveman society. First he reduces a dislocation of his own finger, then works out how to "set bones" for others who’re injured. Like Jean Auel's Ayla, he discovers other primitive technologies, including trapping, smoking meat, and the domestication of a wolf. His mastery of these skills gradually elevates his previously despised and downtrodden position in their society - until he becomes highly respected and admired. And, falls in love with the girl he didn’t dream could love him back....

Great stories
I love this entire series. These stories are full of humor, action, and personal relationships. I love all the quirky personalities of the individual humans, aliens, and bots.
Chris Ciulla does a great job of changing tone and accents between all the people. There is no confusion about who is speaking.

Great enhancement of Bob and Nikki
I am current with reading Bob and Nikki, Book 25: "Hand Jive". These publisher packs are a rereading for me and the narrator has made them outstanding for the second time through. I am looking forward to publisher pack 6. I am hoping that Chris will evolve the character's voices along with the evolution of the story, but if not I am still hooked on the great performance.
I highly recommend these stories. Both the written word and the Audible - Jerry's stories will bring a smile to your face 😁.

The guy who reads this series is awesome! He has great accents and distinctive voices for the characters and he projects his voice so I can actually hear the whole book and dont miss the dialog while at work. The plot is fun and entertaining so I always want to listen to what the next random thing happens next.
