The Boarlanders aren’t what she thought, and the more Kirk shows her his world, the more the line between humans and shifters is blurred. But as she falls head over heels for her man, a war is brewing that she is unwittingly a part of. She’ll have to let her heart decide where her loyalties lie, because suddenly, the job she was sent here to do doesn’t make sense anymore. And one of those illegal claiming marks from the man she loves is becoming mighty tempting. Kirk Slater is a logger by trade and a fully mature silverback shifter ready to make some big life decisions. He has everything figured out until he meets Alison, the beautiful undercover cop with a tough, tatted up exterior and a serious soft side that has his gorilla roaring to be with her. Too bad she’s arrived right in the middle of a storm brewing over his crew. Now Kirk has to figure out if he can trust her and fast…because the biggest threat to Damon’s mountains might just be the woman who has stolen his heart. Good one!

This is a good one. I was interested mostly because I have not read a silverback shifter before. I liked all the ways the author showed Kirk was a gorilla. Alison had a tough row to hold. She was supposed to uphold the law but it was hard with that sexy Kirk on her doorstep

This one has all the elements of danger, friendship, family and love that we see i. This authors stories. It was good. Not my fav but different.

The AI is okay. It kept pronouncing words with double sounding the wrong one.

Love the story hate the narration

Would have been so much better if a real person had been reading this. It drove me crazy every time the AI kept screwing up Allie’s name or IESA. It drove me nuts. Hated it so much.

Virtual Voice can be distracting

The female lead wants to be called Ally, and Virtual Voice doesn't pronounce it like alley, but as ally (like an ally in war). It is very distracting, and why did Virtual Voice change the annunciation of 1010 from ten ten as it is in previous books to one thousand ten? It's weird, but the book is great!
