Entertaining Book, Narrator needs more experience.

If you could sum up Blur in three words, what would they be?

The book and story line were definitely entertaining but the narrator sounds like a very young reader. She sounds as though she's learning to read while reading aloud. It takes quite a bit away from the story. I'd like to read the next in the series but think I may just purchase the book and read on my own. Don't think I can handle another book read the way this one is.

What did you like best about this story?

The story line.

How could the performance have been better?

Use a more experienced narrator. This one sounds as though she's learning to read, or reading to 3 year olds.

If you could take any character from Blur out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Ethan. I want to find out if he's good or evil.

Just another YA vamp story

Yeah not much here. I know there's 4 books total but this first one reminds me of Twilight and The Lost Boys movie rolled into one. Bratty teens convinced there's vampires only to find out they're right and the adults know nothing but wait there's more....obviously! Throw in a heroine torn between two hot teen boys and adults are the bad guys, sprinkle with some hormones and a cliffhanger and there ya go! YA teen vamp feast.

Great start to a series

This was a great start to this series. It holds you and before you know it is over and on to the next book. Elizabeth Meadows does a great job. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. AudiobookObsession AudiobooksUnleashed

Good Story

I enjoyed the scare in the story. A lot of stories are all about the romance, but this builds up with some spook factor. To me, this is a YA book with mature themes. Narration was way too fast. I solved that issue by slowing it down. “I requested this audiobook from Audiobooks Unleashed and have voluntarily left this review.”

Worth the Read!

What did you love best about Blur?

I enjoy vampire stories and ya/na so this was up my alley. I think I enjoyed the suspense most.

Did Elizabeth Meadows do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

There was as much differentiation as I hoped for. Overall she did good but her pace at times threw me off a little.

Any additional comments?

Blur is an exciting read from start to finish. The story begins with Nikki and her twin brother Nathan moving out of state due to their mother’s new job. But it’s more than that, their father went psycho on their mother and she’s running so to speak. Hoping to find a safe place for the family to live that he hopefully won’t track them too.
Nikki’s a pretty average teen who shortly after moving to Shore Lake meets a cute boy she crushes over. In a very short time she gets a job and meets Ethan, a vampire or Night Roamer. Instantly she finds herself under his spell and deeply attracted to him. She struggles with this yet is under his spell.
As a vampire book lover I enjoyed the story and may listen/read again in the future but I didn’t find it unique enough to go completely wild over. But it is an entertaining story that I recommend for any paranormal book lover.

Supernatural Beings

Wow, I can' believe all the bad reviews this story received. I guess I can only mention that they one's who have written such bad reviews might should take up listening to stories and then you might just change your mind about the story. Author Kristen Middleton has wrote a unique story and I absolutely enjoyed it so much that I listened to the next book immediately after this one finished. I found this story amazing but I will admit that I hate cliffhangers but honestly who doesn't? I was engrossed in this story from the start. This story shows me just how gifted Kristen is and she has such a vivid imagination and if you give it chance you'll see that it shows in her stories.

Elizabeth Meadows did a fantastic job with her narration of this story. She kept me immersed from start to finish. I highly recommend this story and if you don't like the reading then give the audio a chance. Elizabeth does a fantastic job at bringing this story to life. I highly recommend this story and I give it a perfect 5 star rating!

Murder, Rape, mind control, bad narrator, Rubbish

Murder, Rape, mind control, bad narrator, Rubbish.

All of the above refer to this drivel, the daughter is a mindless idiot who keeps things to herself, because without any proof otherwise the vamp that is stalking her simply can't be a killer, her brother and friend have a little more intellect, but feel they can still take down a vamp weaponless and untrained.

People are dropping like flies but everyone just goes on as usual. The narrator is a monochromic speed reader, who appears to realise the drivel she is narration and wants to get through it as quickly as possible.

I got this on a whisper sync deal so in order to post this review i will keep this rubbish not ask for a refund.

I think the reason this is so cheap is because it's such childish rubbish. The idea of a group of vampires in an area is not new and this brings nothing to genre unless you count that apparently these vamps can take daylight, but they don't sparkle.

why this even made it to an audiobook when they are many more deserving titles out there is beyond me

DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS ONE UNLESS VERY VERY DESPERATE

Wonderful

This is a wonderfully dramatic teenage/supernatural love story. It has an exciting story line complimented with brilliant narration. Making it both easy and enjoyable to listen.
