Publisher's summary

You can design a perfect life, then a woman comes along and messes it all up!

Prescott Chance is the go-to architect for the wealthy and famous, which has made him more wealthy and famous than he's ever wanted to be. He turns down more commissions than he accepts and is extremely private.

Holly Legere is barely making ends meet between rent and student loans. As an assistant to Alistair Rupert, the notoriously difficult industrialist, she works night and day for slave wages, hanging on in hopes of a promised promotion in his huge organization. When Alistair Rupert's wife decides she wants a Prescott Chance-designed house, and Prescott turns her down, it's Holly's job to make the choosy architect change his mind. And Holly is a very determined woman. In this modern romantic comedy, she'll go to any lengths to get him to design her boss a house, including pulling in his huge family for support.

This is the third book in the Take a Chance series, though the books stand alone.

She's a whirlwind that is blowing up his order!

Excellent characters with a strong, but chaotic woman and a strong, self-absorbed, structured and very ordered man who collide in a karmic twist that has him intrigued, but frustrated and her hanging on to her life by her fingernails. Once again the Chance family does not fail to entertain! I love this series and all the characters in it!

I Love this series, and every book gets better!

This is a delightful book, where we meet a lot more of the Chance siblings. Evan and Caitlyn’s wedding is coming closer and all the family arriving home for the celebrations, I think this is one of my favourite stories so far. In this book we get to know Prescott Chance a famous architect whose world is turned upside down when Holly Legere won’t take no for an answer. At first glance they seem total opposites, but by the end they fit together seamlessly.
The narration I only noticed on some of the male voices, as I always feel with a good narrator you get carried along with the story not jolted out of the story.

A Superb well written and narrated love story

This is my 3rd book about Daphne and Jack Chance's adult children and while I enjoyed the first two, I think that this is my favourite.

While I liked Ethan (Kiss a Girl in The Rain) and Iris (Iris in Bloom) right from the start, it wasn't the case with Prescott. I found him to be irritating and cold, however a short way into the book he started to grow on me and that continued through the book.

Holly was someone that I liked right from the start, though I wanted her to be tougher with some people and got a little frustrated. This doesn't mean that I enjoyed those parts of the book any less. I was invested in the story and the lives of the characters and felt protective over Holly. I think that when a character is believable and relatable to the point that you  feel you want to protect them, you know it's a good book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and the opportunity to 'meet' more of the Chance family, and see more of the characters introduced in previous books.

While the Chance families stories can be read as standalone novels, you do glean information on the previous books in the series.

Teri Schnaubelt does another wonderful job with the voice acting. Once again she has  managed to give each character a recognisable voice and also show their individual personalities and feelings.

Not sure Prescott is the best

This one was really weird for me. I thought Prescott, the leading man, was not really a great person. He has a very distinctive taste that he wants in women, but yet the woman he is dating here fits none of that. And he seems disgusted by people who don’t fit his type, yet somehow gets along with Holly. But nothing is ever talked about their differences. I’d say this is a 3.5/5 stars. I want them to talk more about what they wanted in a relationship and how they both aren’t fulfilling that lol.

The audio is still great! Teri is continuing to do a good job with the characters and their distinct voices. I give it a 4.5/5 stars!

Blueprint for a Kiss

Blueprint for a Kiss. I loved this book it took a little longer to get into than others in the series. My favourites were Book 1 and 2 but it is a great series. Each one was hard to put down.

Blueprint for a Kiss

Holly and Prescott are both very high functioning workaholics that are perfect for one another. Holly is energetic, adaptable, intelligent and is hanging on by a thread to the job that is sustaining her meager lifestyle. Whereas Prescott is a wealthy, egotistical yet private genius who submerges himself in his work to fulfill needs that aren’t met! Both discover a fulfilling love in one another! However, my only criticism is that each story abruptly ends with a marriage proposal. In this story Prescott doesn’t really propose but informs her that she will be his wife and without a wedding to boot! Really? What woman you know is okay with that? The narrator was good but the story could benefit from dual narration to delineate the male presence in the storyline. Overall a good listening experience though.

Holly & Prescott

Would you try another book from Nancy Warren and/or Teri Schnaubelt?

I do like the Chance siblings and want to read about the rest of them.

Any additional comments?

Prescott has isolationist and trust issues. I greatly disliked him more as the book went on. His artistic eccentrics were fine but his attitude toward women leave much to be desired. He expounds how much he only likes sleek, orderly, and uncomplicated women. Holly has none of these traits. She is not the model, thin, rich, and well dressed woman he usually dates.

Love this family!

Love the Chance family! These stories are nice and to the point. The only issue is the need to end them with a marriage proposal. How about just dating for a bit? Who jumps from thinking you're broken up to being engaged?

Something more than just the blueprint of life . .

Prescott/Scott Chance was so much more than I could have expected. He was deeper and held more complexities than any of the other Chance siblings. Getting to know him was a joy. He was frustrating, intelligent, simple, clear, and more. I thought he would never kiss Holly. Holly was the chaotic challenge that he needed to provide some balance to his simple organized life. She was a breath of fresh air and determination. She provided the challenge he didn't recognize he needed.

Teri Schnaubelt was doing what she does.
