Publisher's summary

This is the first in the Bluegrass Brothers series, which includes USA Today best-selling titles Rising Storm, Acquiring Trouble, and Relentless Pursuit. The newest release, Secrets Collide, was just recently released. This is the follow-up series to the best-selling Bluegrass Series.

Cade Davies is an ex-Army Ranger, teacher, and the new head coach of the high school football team in Keeneston. He barely has time to adjust to all of the changes in his life before he runs into the school's fiery new guidance counselor and a new threat to the peaceful town of Keeneston.

DEA Agent Annie Blake was undercover to bust a major drug ring preying on high school athletes across the South. After her transfer from Miami to Kentucky, Annie looks to make her career by solving the biggest case the DEA has open. What Annie didn't count on was becoming the local gossip. Amid marriage bets placed by the entire town, a priest as a landlord, and a trio of thugs after her, Annie looks to Cade for help in bringing down the drug ring before anyone else is hurt. But can the unflappable Annie deal with the feelings that follow?

Love this series

You know it’s funny, I didn’t think I had read this series but it turns out I did and once I started the book I realized it.

I can’t say I am disappointed because I love this small town and how everyone knows everyone.

I love, love the blue haired ladies. Nothing gets pasted them they are what totally makes this story great. Ok well, not totally but you know what I mean.

I read the Bluegrass series first and I have to say I am glad I did even though that was a re-read as well it is just nice to be in this world again.

So we meet Paige in the other series and this is the series about her brothers finding love.

Cade is one of her bro’s and I love that when he meets Annie it’s because she is saving him from a punch.
And throughout the book, it’s as if she is saving him at every turn, its quite funny.

I loved the banter these two have. I love it <3
Again Eric G. Dove nails it with this one. His narration is fantastic!

1st Davies Brother

Oh yeah, Cade and Annie make a great team. Easy going H.S. Football Coach. And a DEA agent with an attitude. Kathleen Brooks has been put at the top of my all favorite Author's list. Not only is she classy, her books all have good story lines. I have stated before, her books are not for the sex scene fans. But if one likes good story plots they are for you. Eric G. Dove does a great job narrating the stories. Can't wait until the next Davies brothers book comes out in audio.

High School was never this exciting!

Blue Grass Undercover features Cade, an ex-Army Ranger, now high school teacher and head football coach and Annie, the new school guidance counselor. Wait! She’s really an undercover DEA agent, sent to crack a vicious, expanding drug ring praying on high school athletes. The author aptly describes Annie’s investigation as she and Cade collide and then peel back her harden layers. It’s a page-turner and highly recommended!

My Musings

I just love Kathleen Brooks writing style. She has me laughing at loud to the point tears are rolling down my cheeks. I always know I'm in for a treat when reading one of her books, and I love this series!

Eric G. Dove is one of my favorite narrators. He reads with a good amount of emotion, truly bringing the characters to life. He is perfect for Ms. Brooks' books.

I highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys plenty of action and humor in their stories. You will find both in this great series. Happy reading!

Good read..

Any additional comments?

This was a good read. I liked Annie and Cade. Liked the storyline, too. I especially liked Lily Rae, Violet Fae and Daisy Mae, really funny names. Also liked Page and Cole, Miles, Marshall and Pierce.
Funniest names EVER for the deputies: Dinky and Noodle.

As far as sex goes? There was NONE! There was a little sexual tension but then it was fade-to-black.
I know a lot of readers like that but I don't happen to be one of those. Therefore, as much as I liked this book I can't see myself reading any others.

As to the narrator: He did a wonderful job with the females voices. I would definitely listen to him again.

Fun story, quick and light

This is a fun and light read that primarily focus on the romantic story between Cade and Annie. The book was easy to follow even though I had not read the previous series that has a number of characters that are now in this series. I am hooked to find out more about the Davies brothers.
