Publisher's summary

This is the first in the Bluegrass Brothers series, which includes USA Today best-selling titles Rising Storm, Acquiring Trouble, and Relentless Pursuit. The newest release, Secrets Collide, was just recently released. This is the follow-up series to the best-selling Bluegrass Series.

Cade Davies is an ex-Army Ranger, teacher, and the new head coach of the high school football team in Keeneston. He barely has time to adjust to all of the changes in his life before he runs into the school's fiery new guidance counselor and a new threat to the peaceful town of Keeneston.

DEA Agent Annie Blake was undercover to bust a major drug ring preying on high school athletes across the South. After her transfer from Miami to Kentucky, Annie looks to make her career by solving the biggest case the DEA has open. What Annie didn't count on was becoming the local gossip. Amid marriage bets placed by the entire town, a priest as a landlord, and a trio of thugs after her, Annie looks to Cade for help in bringing down the drug ring before anyone else is hurt. But can the unflappable Annie deal with the feelings that follow?

Great laughs to a Happy ever After

Loved the narration and the characters of the little town in Kentucky. Liked how the independent hard as nails DEA agent got a spouse and big family while saving kids and taking down a bad drug lord.

So many interesting characters. Look forward to more from this author

Good level of interest

I enjoyed this. The story was able to hold attention, there were times I hoped it would just get to the point quicker, but I didn't need to skip over parts in the book.

What a great book!

I heard Kathleen Brooks speak on a recording at RWA conference and found her so likeable that I just had to read one placard f her books! I am so glad I did! The characters are funny, strong and you just have to root for them as they seek out the bad guys and find true love! I will be reading more by this great author and recommend this book!

DEA Agent Meets Cowboy

Annie Blake had made a big bust and found the link to Kingston, Kentucky for the latest steroid to hit the high school market. Now she is moved from Miami to small town to be a high school guidance counselor. Then she meets the football coach and undercover work looks great. Great performance and story. Recommend.

Another great title in the series

I love when there is a mystery mixed in with my romance. Even better was the fact I didn't figure out who the "bad guy" was until it was revealed. I've read these Bluegrass books as much for the town as the individual stories. I love the quirkiness of the characters as well as how everyone seems to know everything. I love when the newcomers are faces with this small town "charm". I can't wait to move on to the next installment.

Very enjoyable romantic Story

This was definitely a four-star book. The story was sweet and the author created a small amount of attention perfectly. It was a very clean book - at most I would say it would be rated G. I would read another book from this author.

small town = big win

I really love a small town story weigh all the quirky characters to add humor. liked the story about steroids in high school.. good romance with fade to black on the sex scenes..seemed very right for this story. will def read more from the bluegrass storyline.
