Phenomenal thriller! Truly exhilarating.

I REALLY enjoyed this audio book. It made me take longer routes during my short drives to work and to the gym just to make sure I finished another chapter. Speaking of which, I really liked the fact that the chapters were short, making this a very easy to read/listen book. I finished this book in less than a week because I just wanted to hear what was next.

The author did a marvelous job describing each scene. I swear I smelled bacon during one scene at a diner, LOL. The way he described the scene/each room makes you feel right in the middle of the action. The author is a seasoned senior-level banker, which makes the story even more exciting and realistic. I was wondering the entire time what was real and what was not. What insight is the author telling us, if any. My head was really wrapped around the drama, and I was always trying to figure out the end of the plot, but there was always a twist.

The narrator was equally phenomenal. I can’t believe he was able to act/speak so many different voices and always be on point. The author’s description of each character, combined with the narrator’s voice, gives you a really good picture of each character.

Most of the story is based in the Tampa Bay area. Thanks to this book, I now have a list of more places I want to visit there (already visited Carmine’s Restaurant in Ybor City). Yes…the locations the author chose are real (except for the bank…I hope).

Bottom line, I highly recommend this book. It is packed with action and excitement, and will keep you wanting more. This book will really pull you into each scene. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.

Enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed the storyline of this book, it kept me guessing and interested the whole time. As a Tampa native, it was fun to hear all of the local landmarks mentioned! A sequel to Jason’s story would be great!
