Silver Lining

The narrators were well versed. I enjoyed they say they spoke. The storyline was amazing. It has everything that anyone could ask for in this story! There is struggles, love, responsibility, courage, strength and happiness.💙💙

What and Inspirational story

Wow! What a story. I am new to Alana Albertson and I most certainly have been missing out. Instantly, I was pulled into this story and my heart immediately attached. The entire world she created is a fantastic start to a new series. It gave me all the feels. I laughed, I cried, I swooned. Blue Sky is book one of her Blue Devils series. It is a stand-alone story, but I'm intrigued as to what she comes up with next.

The Blue Angels come to town for only ten weeks out of the year. Beckett has set out to follow his late wife's wishes. He intends to change someone's life. He knows that in this poverty-stricken town, there aren't a lot of opportunities for the chance he's about to give. He needs someone to take care of his young daughter and he will go to great lengths to make sure he has the right person.

Paloma's life couldn't be more opposite than Beckett's. She has struggled for everything, but she continues to show her resilience by being determined to make a better life for her and her sisters. Now she's given the opportunity of a lifetime. But will it be worth the risk for her family and most importantly her heart?

I absolutely loved this book. I will be diving into book two in this series as soon as possible. The audio version of this book was phenomenal. I was new to Elizabeth Powers and Dexter Collins but this will certainly not be my last book from them either. I can't wait for book two of this series!

What a great book!

This was my first book by Alana Albertson but it certainly will not be my last. Paloma and Beck's story was amazing, sweet yet sad, some drama and tons of love. Beck is widower with a baby who needs a nanny. Paloma is a young woman raising her sisters and looking for work. They have an instant connection that they both try to fight but love will not be denied. Their story is not without issues but they eventually get their HEA.

Blue Sky is a good listen. I did enjoy listening to this one. I think the two narrators were pretty good and I would definitely pick up another audiobook narrated by these two. The story for me started off good, but there were some things got to me. I thought the heroine was a very good sister to her younger siblings and I commend her on the things she did to try to give them a better future. I will have to say I thought the heroine was very naive and made ridiculous demands of the hero. The relationship progresses wayy too fast and is definitely instalove. I didn't dislike the hero, but I didn't care for the constant comparisons between the heroine and his dead wife. I do think this book ended in a sweet way, despite the very weird, eyebrow raising things that happens in this relationship.

Single Dad/Nanny romance

I liked the premise of this story and the duet narration was enjoyable. This was my first audiobook by Author Alana Albertson and Narrators: Elizabeth Powers and Dexter Collins. The progression of the relationship seemed fast to me, and there were portions that seemed unbelievable. There was a large focus on the socio-economic discrepancies between our hero and heroine, but i felt like these issues were not addressed, they were just accepted and then we moved on. This was consistent with other areas of tension in the book. I felt like the opportunity was there but the sort never went as far as it could have to address the issues.
