Any kind of death annuls everything except his present knowledge and returns him to the past. This is a good way to test all sorts of things. That is, it would be, if not for one little thing.... This loop has real lords and it's unlikely that they'll be happy to hear about an uninvited guest. And that isn't his only problem - all of his memories of the last year have simply disappeared, but the world around him has changed in the meantime.

This series is great (despite what you see from some trolls in the reviews) There is a clear and compelling story... I was hooked in book one and the roller coaster keeps you guessing from book to book. The twist at the end of this one I never saw coming. I'm totally ready for the next book. Fingers crossed that not all is as it seemed in the final chapter. 🤞

Minor Spoiler Warning
Read no further if you're worried about spoilers. I do like this series. But this book is a slow burn to an incredible cliffhanger. I am one of those people who absolutely hate cliffhangers in movies and books. Had I known, I would have waited for another in the series to be available before purchasing this one. This is half a book. Not cool when the next installment isn't readily available. If you don't mind cliffhangers, go for it. If you're like me, check to see if the next book is available before moving forward. I will read the reviews before reading/listening to the next installment so I don't get stuck in this situation again.

Can I say cliffhanger
Love this series and the narration. Disappointed in leaving the story unfinished. This is not your typical I’ll wrap the story plot and leave them wanting for more. It is more of a 7 note scale. That cringe feeling of never completing the octave. . The first 4 are great. Not sure I’ll read the next one.

SLAP! Getting old real fast!
Just when I thought I had an ok series to listen to... The author shows his true colors. He's a hack. Oh I'm dying I want to live. OK we'll help you. OH NO I can't be selfish. wait what.. no no I need to dying stupidly. Ok ..?.. Wait there's a cure... I want to live... That's a 1%'er... Oh OK I need to die painfully and stupidly. Oh look God intervened.. You're going to live... just a few more minutes to get it ready... Oh no the bad guy found us again... and drat not enough time to get the cure... cough cough.
wow I lost a lot of brain cells braving onward.
It's about time Charlie Brown knocked Luck out and dragged her behind the woodshed for a beating, then get his hommies to get medieval on Charles Shultz.
It wasn't funny then; it is not even hack level at this point.
