Too many plotlines none of which felt developed
What aspect of Joe DiNozzi’s performance would you have changed?
There were some really strange places where his voice was multiplied trying to make him sound like more people speaking at once, that really threw me out of the mood.
All in all the performance was okay, but not a favorite - but then I don’t really think he had the best material to work with.
Any additional comments?
I found this as part of my romance package, so I was expecting romance, which might have affected my experience adding to my disappointment. I was expecting the main character to enter a relationship but that never really happened.
This story turned out to be more of a starting college stream of consciousness thing, but even as such I was not really impressed. There were far too many themes for such a short story, I never really managed to get invested in any of the storylines. I have a feeling this is not the first story in this series, and perhaps it would help if I already knew this world and the characters, but as is it was a strangely uninteresting experience.
I am also baffled by the choice to have so many characters share names, that seems very odd and helped confuse me a few times.
All in all I didn’t really care about any of the characters and listening to this left me feeling distinctly meh.
