Keats McCulloch opened his florist shop in Sydney two years ago and he’s living his dream. Even though running his own business leaves little room for a personal life, he is very single, sometimes lonely, but otherwise happy.

Linden Acres has sworn off men for all eternity. Armed with his cheating boyfriend’s credit card and a floriography list, he decides to buy him the perfect farewell gift. The biggest, prettiest bouquet of ‘murder flowers’ his money can buy.

Keats convinces Linden to avoid possible jail time and go with a more subdued, somewhat passive aggressive bouquet of black roses and basil leaves. After all, nothing else says you’re dead to me and I hate you with such elegance.

Keats finds Linden hilarious and charming, and Linden thinks Keats is kind of wonderful . . . It’s too bad he’s sworn off men forever. Yet their paths cross again and again, as if fate was planting seeds in the hope that one will bloom.

Just so sweet!

Such a perfect read when you just want something light, easy, fluffy!

I love Glen Lloyd's narration. The only issue with this one, it was difficult a couple of times to tell whose pov we were in. But other than that, I could listen to him all day.

Sumptuous narration, beautiful story

The narrator did a great job of distinguishing voices, and was very easy to listen to and understand. The story was sweeter than I’m used to, but not sappy sweet, because I believe love can be that way. It was a relatively low-angst, almost frothy love story that was a joy to read.

Excellent character and relationship development. Likable characters you root for. Perfect narration and distinct differences between characters.. Very Highly recommend!

Feel good fluff

This is just a light hearted, feel good story. Everyone is nice, I would love to be in their circle of friends!

Vacuous & Gratuitously Smutty

I expect sooo much more from NR Walker. This is the highly capable author who has given us awesome titles such as, "Red Dirt Heart" and Tallowwood". She demeans her readers (and herself) with fluffy, vacuous books like this. I'm DNF'ing with 2 hours to go. If I hadn't bought this with cash, I'd be returning it right now. Please, Ms. Walker, start taking your work seriously again.

Sweet and spicy in all the best ways!

Bloom is a solid, feel good read that is perfect for summer on the beach or with cocoa in front of a winter fireplace. As always, Glen Lloyd’s narrative talent brings extra depth and charm to the characters created by Walker. This will get a re-read and a second listen, soon.
