A Great Listen

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the narrator and found it very enjoyable. Mercy just keeps having trouble with unwanted family members showing up. But her friends and allies are being targeted and some killed. Mercy is on a mission to stop the Order of the Morning Dawn, but she's not sure who she can trust. Interesting characters and suspenseful, fast moving plot will keep you listen until the end. This is a very enjoyable series that just keeps getting better.

An enjoyable, unique read/listen

Bloody Underground (The Fury of a Vampire Witch Book 2), my fifith read from author Theophilus Monroe. Theophilus Monroe has become one of my favorite authors in the last year. Although he's slowed down in his writing the quality of his writing has not! Another well written & enjoyable read, the second in his new Fury of a Vampire Witch series featuring Mercy Brown. I was given an Audible copy of this book (and own a Kindle copy as well so I could read along while being read to) & am voluntarily reviewing it. Kelley Hazen’s excellent narration again adds to the book’s enjoyment. I look forward to reading Bloody Bastards: A Paranormal and Urban Fantasy (The Fury of a Vampire Witch Book 4) when it comes out next month. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Incredible!

What a powerhouse of a story! So much going on...comedy, fantasy, war, romance. Something for every reader to enjoy! Mr. Monroe's stories are so well told with such believable characters that just make you want to follow them and root for them. It also helps a lot that he has chosen the best narrator for his stories. She does the voices perfectly! I can't wait to listen to the next in the series!

a good read and listen.

A nice change of pace. I don't usually listen to horror type stories. This one sounded different. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't a blood and guts story feeding on helpless humans. I liked how they kept it simple and self contained with the villains.

Give me all the twists

Seriously, how many voices can one narrator come up with? Another great read by Mr. Monroe, and as expected, great narration by Miss Hazen. Cannot wait to see how this series works out. Lots of clues and interesting twists. I hope some of my suspicions are wrong, and that Mercy can have time work through the emotions and feeling she’s had to suppress.

A new yet old enemy is causing trouble where Mercy and gang have to stop before all heck breaks out. Loving this new adventure with Mercy.

Great book

This book continues Mercys new journey and man was it a journey. Lots of action and drama. A guest from the past that will shock you or maybe not. Mercy is kick*** as usual and takes control of the situation as she believes she should. She is the main one who tries to win the situation. She strives to do everything she possibly can even if it may not be the right thing. She will have you laughing at some of her action and cheering her on at others.

EDITED: The narrator's did wonderful job with this book and brings so much to it. I have read the book but the narrator's make the book come alive and to me make it more enjoyable to me personally as I enjoy listening to them bring the characters alive. I especially enjoy Mercy being brought to life.

This is a great Mercy book and I can't wait for the next one. I received this as an ARC and this is my honest opinion. GO MERCY!!

Problems for a Vampire Queen

I was entertained by this second book of "The Fury of a Vampire Witch" series. A group led by the "reverend" was hunting and killing vampires. Mercy, the Queen of the Vampires, needed to find a way to stop the 'reverend". I liked the further development of Mercy's character. I was amused by the acerbic comments. I was amazed at some of the plot twists. Kelley Hazen's narration was impressive with the various voices that she performed. Her performance added to my enjoyment of the story. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Another amazing adventure with Mercy and her team

Second book in The Fury of a Vampire Witch, Bloody Underground follows from where we were left in Bloody Queen. The team won a battle, but there are still many threats stalking our Queen and her people. There may have a way to defeat the resuscitated reverend and the Order, but there a huge secret can destroy them all. In her unusual, irreverent ways, Mercy is the perfect anti-heroine. Action, losses, humor, a lot of magic are only some of the ingredients of this easy-to-read (well, in my case easy-to-listen) urban fantasy book. 100% recommended!

Another great book the second one in this series. I highly recommend awesome characters and amazing storyline. Kelly Hazens narration is great as always.

Great book. Mercys new team are really settling into their work. Mel is really coming into her own too. Im really looking forward for the rest of this series. Top marks.

interesting

This was definitely a good sequel. A lot of action and amazing tactics. There was a bit of politicking that I found boring but overall the book was fun.
