I need a book 2!!!!

As always Jeff Strand made me laugh, and cringe through the whole book. I love horror stories, but funny horror stories might be my favorite. Jeff weaves the best tales. This one was great and I want a second book out of Bloodsucker County. The main character Bill, along with Lance and his mom were perfect players in this vampire book.

A truly unique voice in horror fiction

Jeff Strand has one of the most unique voices in horror/dark fiction today. His signature comedic style and biting dialog are in a class all it's own. With Bloodsucker Country, mix in appropriate amounts of gore and chaos and get ready for a ride. Not my favorite Strand perhaps, but still extremely Strand and I blew thru the audiobook in one afternoon.

Great new twist on the vampire trope …

A very different twist on the vampire trope set in a dystopian landscape. I really enjoyed this one. It was graphic, fast paced and the characters were memorable and well developed. In typical Jeff Strand fashion the dialog was excellent and there were splashes of humor well placed throughout the story. I listened to the audiobook and the narration added to my enjoyment of the story as well.
I would recommend this one for all fans of horror.

Always A Treat

As is usual from Jeff, the perfect blend of horror, action, and laughs. A little on the short side, but I think I prefer that over never ending apocalypse books, which there are far too many of. Narration is top notch, to boot.

Not bad, but lacked bite

This was an ok vamp book, but felt it left many things unfinished. I'm sure sequel is in the works

If you’re looking for an entertaining horror romp, Jeff Stand is always your man. Great blood soaked horror fantastically narrated by Scott Thomas.

Bloodsucker County by Jeff Strand was an okay listen overall, but nothing particularly stood out. The story moved along fine, but it didn’t leave much of a lasting impression, and the characters and plot felt pretty standard compared to others in the genre. It wasn’t bad by any means—just not especially memorable. Am easy listen.

Three Nights Fending the Undead

A hostage siege horror thriller with a scallywag and a broken family against the horde. It's a nicely microscopic small scale tale about characters in a bigger post apocalyptic hellscape. Jeff Strand is an author who excellsl at infusing the grim with humorous banter. Scott Thomas well narrates the stuff with a brisk upbeat voice perfect for the blend of nightmare and wit. BC doesn't overstay it's welcome and might even be a bit short but that works well for being character driven rather than entirely bloody horror minded content. It paints broad strokes of a grim reality and then illuminating the hopeful inhabitants of a county and their mysterious stranger. It's got gnarly twists and some that are fun with a vibe of never being quite sure who or where to trust. Hopefully we see more from this world.

Grabbed me from the very start!

A great book! I was captivated from the beginning and it held me all the way through to the end. Lots of action with very little downtime. I really liked the new take on Vampires as well. It's a short one, around 5 hours, so it was easy to listen to in almost one sitting. This is probably my 3rd or 4th Jeff Strand Book and I haven't been disappointed so far. It definitely my favorite. Worth the listen! Narration was really good too! Five stars!
