Publisher's summary

There is a new super shero! Yvonne Daniels has always had the remarkable ability to heal, but somehow that’s always kept her from being a remarkable person. Her mother pressures her to be a superhero, her best friend takes her for granted, and she struggles to pursue her dreams as an actress.

This all changed when she meets Zane, a sexy new neighbor who seems to follow her wherever she goes. When she finally confronts him, she gets thrown into a new world of magic and danger that’ll threaten to destroy her if she doesn’t make the right choice of who she can count on.

A Fun story hurt by okay narration

Overall the story was great, the characters interesting and the lore it begins to establish is very cool. Unfortunately Ally Mills’ narration kinda harms the tale. The story was written by someone black and it reads like it but Ally Mills makes the black characters in this book sound like white people trying to act black. She sounds so unauthentic with her pronunciations. I’m looking forward to more of this story but I hope they find a different narrator or I might just get the physical copy of the sequels.
